The best breakfast restaurant I have ever eaten at period!
The atmosphere is really relaxing and the waitresses are really friendly and the food is good fix right there on the grill.
I really like this local small diner. You always know who’s doing the cooking (not some just new who walked in to replace a cook who’d been there only 2 weeks). Food is good quality and prepared and served with care. Really reasonably priced. That’s going to need to change.. Jill’s can’t continue serving 2 eggs, bacon, and toast at their present menu price, with eggs costing 25 cents apiece and stay open.. I recommend the consider some varied “service charge” , until costs drop. Say, $1 on each meal under $5 , and $2 fee on each meal $5 or more. To me that is worth thinking about. That’s still better than Bob Evans, Cracker Barrel, and Hanger 5. In this day of $5 per gal gas that seem inevitable to keep Jill’s open. Jill’s can’t be “Love Chapel” and remain open. Customers who appreciate Jill’s would happily stay with them if Jill’s had to make some similar changes as this. ???
A friend and I went to Jills Diner for lunch today. It is a cool place. Miss these type diners in North Vernon and other places. My friend Gayle, a regular customer loves this place and she knows the ppl who work there. I love the style inside the diner the record albums on the walls etc. Good service friendly waitress and environment.
My group stopped here on a Saturday late morning on our way to the Story Inn Wine Fair. It was a bit busy but we were seated within 10 mins. Service and food were fantastic! The gravy is some of the best I have ever ate, perfectly seasoned! The prices were reasonable for the amount of food your are given. I will definitely be back!
Amazing home cooked to order food and they definitely know how to cook a good southern breakfast. Known Jill since we were teens. Wonderful lady. Reminded me of going to my granny's for breakfast in the deep south of ky. Blessings Jill and her family n staff. Awesome service I'd rather eat here than a give star restraunt. The over all experience us worth more than money or food. It's about the experience of the way things were n still should be. Thanks again Jill's Diner ...???
This is the best breakfast we have ever had in Columbus, Indiana! We will be back and we will be back often as well lol. The diner only has early hours and is usually busy. I wasn't a fan of their biscuits and gravy. But my fiance was. He really liked the biscuits and gravy. Both of our eggs and bacon were perfectly cooked. The winner for me was their fried potatoes! Just like my dad and grandma would fry them ❤ even their toast was delicious with a good amount of butter on each piece. Most places hardly put butter on their toast anymore. But Jill's Diner did. The service was great too. Everything was just perfect. We absolutely loved Jill's Diner and will be back often for breakfast! Thank you so very much!
My boyfriend and I LOVE coming here. It’s so hard to find a classic diner and that’s exactly what Jill’s is! You always see familiar faces walking in and Jill and her daughters do a great job with the service they provide. Thank you guys so much?
Absolutely love this place! Great people, great place, plenty of seating, and amazing food that taste like it was made at home by your grandma! 10/10 reccomend.
I'm a fan of corned beef hash with 2 eggs "over medium".Jill consistently hammers out the perfect over medium egg. That says a lot about a cook.The staff is great, I am kinda biased because I've known these ladies for a very long time.I'd give 5 stars, but Jill keeps making me pay for those perfect over medium eggs. LOL.
