We love going here for dinner. Always great food and service. The atmosphere is nice and casual which is so relaxing to just enjoy your food and the people you are with.
We are recent transplants to Columbus from Texas and were looking for some south of the border fare. We saw the sign and decided to stop in for lunch. What we discovered is our new favorite local restaurant. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. We will certainly visit again soon.
Staying at a hotel in Nashville Indiana and decided on Mexican food for supper. El Nopal Mexican cuisine was the nearest to us. I highly recommend if you're passing through and hungry, stop at this place. The prices are very affordable and the portion size is HUGE! You will need a to go box. The chips and salsa were so good, I bought some salsa to go. Great service from our friendly waiter. I will definitely stop in here again if I'm ever passing through.
Yuumm I had the pork burrito. Honestly the best I’ve ever had!!
Nice place to eat. Food is always good at lunch or dinner. Quite popular place to dine and always busy. Only complaint is can be slightly loud for easy conversation. Would not dine here at dinner if hard of hearing and wanting to socialize.
The best Mexican restaurant I've ever eaten at. If going I'd highly recommend the carnitas, it's delicious. Their hot salsa isn't to hot, its got just the right balance of flavor & heat, without question the best salsa I've ever had. I used to live in California & we went over to eat in Mexico dozens of times & El Nopal is extremely authentic
Delicious food and service, I do recommend this restaurant ???
Amazing food. Authentic just as the wonderful people that run this restaurant. Thanks Carlos, your friendly and great customer service will always be remembered. The fresh guacamole, queso and Fabulous chicken taquitos will be yearned for until I return. Love it, Love it,LOVE YOU ALL!
We stopped here before a concert at the Brown County Music Center, and for the most part we have nothing to complain about. The service was very friendly and the food was very good (albeit pretty typical Mexican food). Prices were a little on the high side compared to other Mexican joints offering the same fare, but they weren’t completely over the top. My eyebrow raised when I read the review from the person who said the place was noisy and had no atmosphere. Really? This is a typical family Mexican restaurant…unless you’ve lived under a rock and had never been to one before you should know what to expect. If I’m looking for a quiet dining experience dripping with atmosphere, a Mexican place isn’t the first thing that springs to mind. Overall, we had a nice experience…noise and all.
Typically really good but tonight my wife's steak Carne asada taco was overcooked, had probably been sitting in a pan all night and was not very flavorful. Mentioned it to our waiter who wasn't responsive. Other 3 entrees were great and service was fast.
