Had the best burger here!!!I choose the build your own burger and it was perfect, taste amazing along with their fries! If you are in Carmel and around the Clay Terrace, check them out!
Came for a late lunch on Friday afternoon, place was quiet so service was quick. Built my own burger, they have many options if you go this route, I was not disappointed.
I ate there a week ago and the food was great. I decided to go back and try again but this time it was a carry out. I went inside to order and was glad I did. I observed the prep for take as the food was passed from the kitchen thru a servings window. The person prepping the food for take out and for the waitress to take food to the people dining in needs to practice food safety in these perilous times. He did not wear gloves, he picked up the buns several times on the burgers to see what was on them, he was Handeling the bagging of the food, wiping his head, face and paints and a periodic cough , all while handeling food. This was unacceptable. I STRONGLY suggest to the owners that staff wear gloves and mask while preparing and serving food to the public to eliminate passing on germs and or other….
The food was good, the service was not. After our server took our drink order we never saw her again. Someone else took our order and brought the food. We asked for condiments that were never brought to us. My order was incorrect. We were never offered drink refills. Customers seated after us were served before us.I understand being short staffed and was prepared for longer wait times. However, being short staffed is not a reason for poor service.
I didn't expect it to be this great! The burgers were meaty and the choices were interesting. I haven't tasted fries this good in a long time too! Normally, it's great burger and fries are good enough. Nope! The fries were just as good as the burger! That hardly ever happens! They were closing and we felt a bit rushed but didn't care. We should've arrived earlier. Nonetheless, food was great and the place was clean and service was alright.
This is my first (and possibly last) visit to PBB. I arrived on a Sunday evening and they were not busy but they were short staffed. Other than taking a few min longer than usual to be seated, my order was taken and brought to me in a timely manner. The problem was the burger itself. I ordered the cheddar bacon burger, medium well. The waitress assured me that MW would be slightly pink in the center. It was not, it was well, well done and I don’t know how long the bacon had been sitting under a heat lamp but it was hard as a rock, I was seriously concerned I was going to chip a tooth! So I scraped off all the bacon and choked down about 3/4 of my $19 burger before I just couldn’t anymore. I ordered onion rings and they seemed to be prepared well but their style did not suit me; but I realize that is very subjective. The waitress did ask if everything was OK but I didn’t want to make her already hard night worse so I said nothing and I tipped her 20% and went on my way.
Great menu variety, friendly service, great food that was quick to the table. Highly recommend the Prodigy IPA.
Great burgers and family atmosphere. I can't believe kids meals are only $5 and it includes a drink and dessert! Will definitely be back again. Free kids meals on Tuesdays!
We have been twice and both times were excellent. This is one of the few restaurants that has excellent service in these current times. The burgers and appetizers are excellent and the price is reasonable given the quality of their food and service.
Good atmosphere and quick service. We were early for lunch and had great service. We sat in the bar and Drake took fantastic care of us. We were on a girls trip and he was fun and a good sport serving us. Food was good. Would eat here again.
