Superb Irish fare. I had the Irish stew and my fiance had the cottage pie. Patty the hostess and Kelly the waitress were both welcoming and warm. I will definitely come back next time I'm in Carmel.

This is one of our family's favorite restaurants in Carmel. we always enjoy food and drink. When we want to celebrate something special, the first thought that came to our mind is this restaurant ? very neat place, yummy foods, and friendly staff.

Wow! Amazing food with fresh meat from the butcher next door. Paddy melt and Reuben were fantastic, fries were crispy and the atmosphere warm! Great pub, exactly what we were looking for!

The food is just amazingly good. It is rare these days to find something so truly unique as their patty melt. It’s so rich. It is Caesar’s favorite. He probably should not be such an expert on human food but he is such a good boy I cannot tell him no.

We were in town visiting family on 2/19 and decided to try Muldoon’s. There were 5 of us (with one being a minor so we couldn’t sit in the bar area). We arrived at nearly 6:30 PM and were told it would be a 10 min wait. Then we’re told nearly 10 min later that the wait would be 30 min and we were 2nd in line. No big deal. We waited and the young hostess (who told us she’d only worked there for 3 months) kept apologizing for the wait and thanking us for our patience. An older lady who appeared to be overseeing the hostess stand comes over to tell us she doesn’t know how long it’s going to be because they have squatters that are done but not moving. We told her it was fine as it had only been 30 min at this point. We did notice these tables that were done and just sitting visiting and the waitress kept stopping by and offering drink refills. Now we are approaching an hour wait and the young hostess has now seated 3-4 tables and still tells us we are next. After she seats a table of 4 who literately just walked in the door (even the family questioned why they were being seated before us and wanted to make sure the hostess was ok with doing this as they didn’t want us to be upset). The hostess told them we needed a table for 5 not 4. The older lady comes by to tell us they don’t have many tables that seat 5 and she can’t just pull up chairs to smaller tables to make it a 5 top. She then told us she didn’t mean to be condescending but we should know they don’t know how long someone is going to take to sit and eat. To which we responded “well most restaurants are able to estimate that pretty well”. Likewise after waiting for longer than an hour and the staff not being very polite we walked out. We will not be going back to give this place a try ever again. They lost our business! Our family said the food isn’t worth a longer wait as it’s not that good. We ended up at a cute little Thai place called Pad Thai around the corner where we were able to walk right in and sit down and within 15 min had our dinner. Pad Thai offers great service and food while there was only one server and half the restaurant was full of patrons. Highly recommend Pad Thai!!

We stopped here for dinner & were not disappointed. The server recognized that we were not from the area & told us a little about the area as well as the specials & popular drinks/beers. Very helpful! I ordered the fish & chips and my husband ordered the breaded tenderloin. Both were very good. The local beers were good too. This restaurant seemed like it was a popular place for locals.

Very friendly staff.Probably the best onion rings I've ever had and the tenderloin is fantastic. I was told they get their meat from the butcher next door, so that is fantastic to know that they also support local businesses.

Great local spot for classic Irish pub food in the heart of downtown Carmel. Visiting from out of town so I had to try the tenderloin sandwich, which was great. Went on a week day in off hours so was fairly quiet. Service was very friendly and accommodating. Looks like they have area for outdoor seating which seems like it would be great on a warm summer day! Overall, would recommend. -BJ

Visiting back in Indiana, so of course, we had to have the classic Breaded Tenderloin. Had visited Muldoon’s when I lived in Indy several times, so we came in for the “Reader’s Choice” and “Best Buy” winner from Indianapolis Monthly magazine. Certainly met the size criteria- significantly larger than the bun. Even the Mini Breaded order outsized the artisan bread it’s served on. The only problem was the “free range, anti-biotic and hormone-free” fresh tenderloin itself was NOT salt-free. So salty, in fact, that it tasted like both the meat AND the batter had been seasoned. No problem with the service, Stephanie did a fine job- but she just couldn’t overcome a sandwich so salty. Perhaps a little less next time.

We really enjoyed our meal at Muldoon’s. We had a cozy table by the fireplace and a very personable and helpful server, Heather. My husband’s Irish stew hit the spot with lots of tender steak and great flavor. I had fish and chips and appreciated the light breading and perfectly cooked cod. We left with a large piece of banana cream pie and shared it when we got home - delicious!! Nice overall casual atmosphere, good food and service-we will be back!!
