This McAlisters is really nice. It took some navigation to get to and was kind of tucked into a plaza making it a bit hard to get to. I think this worked in our favor because it was a not busy at all. The person who took our order was very kind and patient with us. They did have the soft rock muzak blaring like it was the roller rink, which took away from our business meeting. We asked for it to be turned down because we didn't want to shout our confidential info at each other. Other than that, it was a great place to have lunch.
The technical aspects of ordering online and pick-up went well. Sadly, the items we ordered were very disappointing. The salad featured very wilted, “old” lettuce. And the baked potato obviously had been cooked a long while ago. Had hoped the chicken & dumpling soup would reestore the previously good impression I/we had of McAlister’s food…unfortunately it was obviously scooped from bottom of the barrel. Very little chicken and really mushy dumplings. I’m sorry, McAlister’s, but this was a true failure.
I do have to say you hear alot bout this place even since the 90s.But I don't it's nasty.its a low grade food for A High price.im just real glad yesterday wasn't mother's day.I ordered pic 2.i wish I would have went to Wendy's and I hate Wendy's.so the pic 2. Came mid afternoon on a Friday. Every booth table had trash and food plates on them. Not a clean seat in the place…
Wasn't crowded and slow,very slow. Food was good. All the restaurants Ned to pull it together.
I order from there almost weekly, however, today's service was bad, I went in there, first in line, some server saw me, and she was doing nothing but standing behind the register, doing nothing for 4-5 minutes with a smirk on her face, then later, another girl came in and took my order. Then I waited for more than 20 minutes, until I lost patience, and asked a lady, my order was sitting at the counter for several minutes, and nobody did anything to it. And at the same time, several people was huddling around some appearing to be spraying bottles discussing something. Worst experience today. It is a different set of crew from my previous Tuesdays as well.
We used to enjoy this McAlister's, but sadly it has drastically gone down hill. The staff was pleasant, but the food was disappointing. There were only 5 people in the restaurant, so there wasn't much excuse for how bad it was. We dined in so we could enjoy our hot sandwiches, but unfortunately our sandwiches were not the least bit hot, literally room temp as the best, and were so soggy we had to remove the grilled bread. We won't be back any time soon, but may wait several months and try again to see if anything changes.
I got the chicken club and boy was I disappointed. It was built like a club with about two tablespoons of roasted chicken on the bottom. The top layer was bacon lettuce and tomato. The bacon was only one slice for the whole sandwich. The staff seem more interested to talking and playing than building quality sandwiches. I doubt I will be back.
McAlister's is a great place to eat, the food is awesome and the employees are Friendly, and the customers are Kind and respectful. I am a Navy Vet and a customer purchased my lunch for me.
Great service and food! Appreciate the ability to get my own refill especially during covid.
