Overall nice place with a good menu selection, with a couple areas that could use improvement.Pros: Food was well prepared, and there was a really nice balance between protein/carbs/veg. The option to pick between regular or cauliflower rice is nice if you're trying to be calorie conscious, and the overall flavor was really nice, looking forward to trying other things on the menu. Portion sizes I felt were nice, enough that we both felt satisfied without feeling excessive or like it would be impossible to eat without a take home box.Cons: The service felt rather impersonal and unresponsive. Could tell generally that the staff were working, but nobody came to check on us during the meal at all. It felt more like they were interacting with each other than the customers. We waited about five minutes at our table before water came out, and drinks didn't come until after our food was delivered by the chef (not our server). Our server came to take our order, and then dropped off the check at the end; did not even ask if we wanted dessert, which we had to ask to order after the check had been dropped off.We also asked for outside seating, but unfortunately were placed in an area that had zero shade which made it uncomfortable until some cloud cover came in. Getting enough umbrellas/shades to cover the outside seating would be nice.Food was generally very good, but some of the pineapple in the dole whip we ordered was pretty sour and some pieces still had inedible pieces of green stem still attached.Overall the food, location, and atmosphere were nice enough to make us want to go back and try again, but the lackluster service holds it back from being 5 stars for me.

I discovered this place by accident, and originally stopped in for coffee and a pastry, after McKinley (hope I spelled your name right!) assisted me I realized that this isn't just a quick stop. There is a wonderful vibe throughout this facility that is friendly, relaxing, welcoming, and joyful. The brownies were soft and freshly baked which paired great with the Hawaiian blend coffee. I also had a fruit flavored drink, that was black tea based with strawberry and mango.Of course, I came back with the rest of my family and dined in. The pancakes, the Açai bowl, and the omelet we had were incredible! There's so much to try and enjoy, and a wonderful staff to assist you through your flavorful adventure. Thanks Mattea (sorry if I spelled it wrong)! For taking care of us, we really appreciated your patience and kindness. To the rest of the staff and Eddy, thanks for helping us get set up with rewards, and cultivating a great spot for all meals throughout the day.

This is a must try place! The bowls of any sort are amazing. I also really enjoy the fun coffee flavors they have!

Great food and service. The garlic shrimp bowl and acai bowl are my favorites but you can't go wrong with anything you order. Definitely go for the Hawaiian fried rice if getting a rice bowl...you won't be disappointed!

Really cool interior design, the food was good and the staff were nice. Cool Experience, but not 5 stars.

My husband and I ate at Manele Cafe today. It took about 20 minutes for our server to take our order and another 35+ minutes to receive our food. My macadamia nut pancakes were very bland and all the nuts were on the bottom of the pancake. The lilikoi syrup was watered down and not appetizing. I also ordered a side of bacon. Bacon should not be yellow translucent in color and covered with grease. My husband ordered an omelet and the maple bacon sweet potatoes. First, the spinach in the omelet should have been somewhat pre-cooked; instead it was still raw. The maple bacon sweet potatoes were way too sweet. It’s bad when they best part of our meal was the sour dough toast and the fresh fruit. At the end of service, our waitress waited by our table as we filled out the tip and satisfaction rating. What we assumed to be the owner, was also quite rude to the only waitress. We will not be going back.

We just stopped for coffee, which was really great! Loved the "beach diner" atmosphere. Can't wait to return to try their food...looked amazing!

Such a fun and new vibe to bring to carmel! Food was so good! The poke bowl was incredible! And the pineapple dole whip was so fresh, and creamy! The service was great our waitress was so helpful and friendly! I highly recommend! And will be visiting again very soon!

I don’t like leaving bad reviews and I have a lot of empathy for people in the HoReCa industry, but in all honesty I can’t give this place more than 2 stars. I want this restaurant to succeed and I hope my feedback will help.1. We came for brunch, there were 5 of us. Nobody greeted or acknowledged us, we waited about 10-15 mins to get seated (the restaurant was about 2/3 full)2. After we got our table, we didn’t see any waiters for another 15 mins. Nobody offered us water or other drinks. I thought maybe the restaurant was understaffed due to Covid, but there were about 4 people waiting tables during the time of our visit. We had to ask a server to bring us water and other drinks.3. Silverware - in our party, two people got forks with lipstick on them. When I asked to replace cutlery, it was delivered 10 mins after our food.4. Food - overall, lots of good options on the menu. We got two skillets, rice bowl with chicken, omelette, and chicken salad. Skillet food somehow came lukewarm and eggs were not over easy - they were almost raw. My chicken rice bowl was ok, but didn’t have any sauce and was dry. I also had to remind our server to bring my pineapple dessert. Once we got our food, nobody checked on us a few mins later to inquire how everything tasted.5. Check out - again, long-long wait to get our checks and pay.On the positive side, the restaurant looked nice inside and it was easy to park nearby. Unfortunately, that’s it. It’s one thing if I came to eat here by myself, but I also invited 4 other people and we didn’t have a good experience. I hope it gets better.

Absolutely awesome food! The shrimp is tender, the Spam Fried Rice is decadent, and the smoothie bowls are refreshing! Our kiddos loved the pancake plates! Definitely a must try in Carmel!
