Koto went out of their way to make lunch after my Sons wedding very special! We were running late and they were very accomodating and didn't rush us. The person on the hibachi grill gave us an extra special show, the waitress was right there when we needed something and the food was delicious! It was a special day that we will never forget. Thank you so much Koto!! We will be back again and again!!❤❤❤❤❤

Sadly I am reporting a less than memorable experience. You have 3 options when entering. Dining or Habachi service. Well we picked Dining and quickly figured out all the cool people opted for Habachi service. Food wise was marginal. I ordered the steak and chicken meal. Both proteins were dry (overcooked), rice is rice - nothing spectacular. The salad was leafy, again nothing special. The soup was, you got it, soupy! All said, we spent $96, no drinks. Probably not a great value!

Me, My Mom, Step Dad, and 9 year old little sister had eaten here on 04/02/2022. My little sister has Down syndrome. We brought her here thinking she’d love it but she got overwhelmed and was very afraid and cried with the fire from the grill. We ended up bringing her to the welcome area while we continued to have our food cooked. Our chef was SO nice and tried really hard to make my little sister smile. He made excellent food as well. The restaurant was so nice and gave us table on the other side of the restaurant with no grills so my little sister could eat because she was really upset and we didn’t want her to scream and cry while the rest of the people at our grill ate. It was so nice! They even brought her coloring pages and ice cream. Thank you guys so much for all you did! I recommend to anyone with special needs kids, kids with sensory sensitivities, or even a family looking for great food!!

First time eating Japanese food and this place was really good. I'm glad I was open to try a cuisine from a different culture. The mushroom soup tasted so good as well as the hibachi steak and chicken. The portions were excellent and the staff done an amazing job with how the food was prepared in front of us. I will definitely come again.

Let's start by saying if I could give more than 5 stars I would. This place exceeded my expectations, and my expectations were high. The food is plentiful and delicious and the staff is extremely kind. Our Chef was named Ari and he was so entertaining and enthusiastic. The food was already well worth the money but the experience that our Chef gave us was above and beyond anything I could have imagined. Koto Japanese Steakhouse is well worth the visit if you're in the area.

Food was excellent. We didn’t get to experience the hibachi due to how busy they were. Word to the wise- make a reservation if you want the hibachi experience. You can still get the same hibachi food in the other areas of the restaurant, just won’t get that flying shrimp in your mouth.

Great chef, great food. Beautiful place general

Always a fun experience! The kids love watching and feeling like they are a part of the action! Delicious food helps also!

I have been here several times with my husband and the food has always been good. My most recent time this past Saturday when dining alone at the bar was HORRIBLE. The bartender lady was absolutely RUDE. She forgot my appetizer and was not even apologetic about it & made it seem like I was the problem. She stated I had an attitude when she told me wrong information about not being able to swap my rice for noodles.( I know you can as I have done it several times here) when I talked to the manager he stated I am able to do that and she was having a bad day. The manager was very nice and took $5 off which I never asked for but he definitely made excuses for her rude behavior. She left a bad taste in my mouth and I probably won’t come back to this location for a long time. She’s very rude and I’ve never experienced bad customer service from here until this past Saturday.

My first time and I decided to go adventurous and get the Swordfish which was recommended by the server. I know it's the midwest but I had high hopes with the great google reviews. Sadly, the swordfish was chewy with a strong disgusting fish smell and taste. Drowning it in the yummy sauces did not help. I had swordfish before on the coasts which was delicious and did not taste like this. They serve me old fish. I wont be returning. On a positive note, we had an entertaining cook.
