Loved all of the food (except dessert), server was accommodating, cocktails especially good. The strawberry rhubarb crisp was syrupy sweet. Wish Iâd ordered the chocolate beignets.
Excellent food and service. All four of us were quite pleased.
I was disappointed that the pork chops were not available. I've had them before, and truly, one of the best dishes I've ever eaten! However, Everything we ordered was splendid--especially, dare I say it?--the french fries! We go to Truffles whenever we have something to celebrate, and, more importantly, especially when we have nothing to celebrate.
Food was wonderful. Our server warmed up as the evening went on
We sat for the prix fixe menu available for IU graduation. Front-of-the-house was great for service. Cocktails were solid. Service at the table was timely and efficient. Wine service provided nice background on our selection, though a review and update of offerings would be of benefit. So how did we walk away disappointed? The meal was the let-down; Over-seasoned steak, runny blue cheese sauce, what appeared to be desserts that were not house-made. Every diner in our party was frustrated. Fundamentally, the value equation was horribly out-of-whack. To be clear, I'm not adverse to spending on a quality meal, but at $110.00 pp without beverages, the kitchen is obligated to aim higher.
We had yet another fabulous dining experience at Truffles. The Goat Cheese and the Charcuterie board were both really excellent. For mains, we enjoyed the Salmon, Petite Filet, and the Pork Loin. All had robust flavor and complementary sides. Having dined at Truffles over multiple years, the menu and food quality now with nightly specials are the best they have ever been.
Truffles is our “go-to” restaurant in Bloomington. Parking is easy, food is consistent and service is great.
Overall not an establishment that deserves to be called fine dining. Food was bland and mediocre at best.
Ambiance mediocre at best the kid bringing water looked like he was 10 years old so was a tad alarming Service pretty sub par for price point Goat cheese app and calamari were good except calamari was served w/ bottled ranch dressing ??? Bone-in pork entree was completely over cooked-beyond tough 5-oz filet was good but not outstanding -mashed potatoes were too liquidy and bland
Salmon was way over done and had a very fishy taste. Quite unusual and not up to their standard.
