Food was decent, but horrible customer service. They did not pack a couple of items in the carry out order and refused to accept and refund for it. They said they will have to check their cameras and then decide. But very rude on the phone and after a month they still haven’t called me back to share what they found.Maybe they don’t care about customer service since they have good business from the students there and maybe there is no other Indian restaurant nearby. I read other comments about the bad customer service and should have known before going there. It is unfortunate that good food is overshadowed by pathetic service.

The food is excellent- the service, on the other hand, will cause us to seek out other options in town in the future. During the height of the pandemic, Amrit was our go-to Indian restaurant and we looked forward to our weekly Friday night deliveries. Now, we can barely stand to go because each and every interaction with who we believe to be the owner has been so infuriating. No one should treat other people, let alone customers, the way this man does. I feel bad for all the delivery drivers we sent there to pick up our food who also had to deal with this ridiculous behavior. I'm sorry to say that today is the last time we ever patronize this restaurant. It is a huge shame, and it makes me sad to see that we are not alone in our bad experiences here.

Some of the best Indian food of my life. Went on New Year’s Day of all times and had great service. Highly recommended.

I recently experienced horrible customer service here. Placed a pick up order and when I arrived at the pick up time, I was very rudely told it would be an additional 30 minutes (he did not even check on my order). I understand restaurants get busy but there is no reason to talk to customers the way he was. After a few minutes I realized I hadn’t ordered any naan so I went up to order some and he told me I had to wait until I received my order to order the naan. That makes no sense. I explained I wanted them to come out at the same time and he told me I had to go sit and wait. They were extremely rude and kept telling customers to go sit down. Will not be coming back.

The food was horrible. Never seen in my life that ALU GOBI is made with Capsicum and sorted onions. The dish should be dry and main ingredients should be cauliflower and potato. Never seen bell papers or capsicums and onions. Really pathetic. The cook may be a amateur but cannot cook well. Same goes with Kadhai Paneer. Horrible preparations. People who knows what is Kadhai Paneer specially people from North India should vomit. Very pathetic cooking. In Bloomington there is not a single Indian restaurant who cooks real Indian food. They are all fusion foods and making fools to people who have not tasted Indian food before. I suggest to get best Indian food we must go to Castleton at Hyderabadi Biriyani House. They make the best Indian stuff in Indiana State.

Authentic food. Terrible service. After placing a carry out order online, we still waited an hour after the confirmed pickup time, despite the restaurant having only one other table of customers. Each time we went to the counter to ask about the status of our order, we were very rudely dismissed and three separate times told "Your order is not ready. Go sit down!" as if we were in elementary school. Not once did the individual actually check with the kitchen to determine if there was an issue causing the order to take so long, or if our order was in fact ready. To make it worse, two other patrons entered and left with their online orders with zero wait time while we sat wondering about the delay on our own online order....We've enjoyed the food from Amrit numerous times. But after this sub par experience and completely rude service, we will be taking our business elsewhere.Bloomington is not short on options for delicious Indian food! Amrit would do well to remember that fact.

I ordered Gobi Manchurian and basically got a box of red masala with no gobi.

Food is good! I've had Amrit India food delivered many times. Never disappointed. Went to the restaurant this evening. Food still quite good, but service quite bad. We were unlucky to get a waiter who was quite angry, and indifferent to serving us. Sad. I will seek out other Indian restaurants in Bloomington, the next time I have a craving for Indian food.

Great food at a Great priceFirst off, I was impressed by how much we paid compared to how many people it fed, and fed again. The following food fed 6 adults and 2 children. There was enough left overs to have another 6-8 portions. ( we ordered carry out)Vegetable samosa- unlike any ones I have had in the past. Usually I don’t like these, but this has a very nice flavor and perfect crunch on outside/ soft inside thing going on.Chicken 65- everyone said it was good.Chili chicken- everyone said it was good. My toddler liked it, even though it was spicy. It was worth it to him and He chased it down with milk.Lentil- good consistency, a bit of a weird after taste.Cucumber salad- exactly as expectedPaneer tikka masala- sauce was deliciousMalai Kofta- took a risk with this one as I had never tried it. I would say I preferred it over the paneer tikka masala. Sauce was super similar , but it had really good potato dumplings!butter chicken- one with and without spicy. The one without any spice the children ate up.Lamb curry- kids and adults liked this. I would say it was a favorite as there wasn’t much left over of this.Garlic naan- DELICIOUS!!Paneer naan- good but not anywhere close to how amazing the garlic naan was. I’d skip this and quadruple my garlic naan order.Things to know-The naan ONLY comes with one piece. And the entrees DO COME with white rice.

Expect no smile no greeting from them. Worst service
