Family friendly, great for groups, great beer
Local brewery that supports a run club I join once in a while. They provide free water after the run which is nice. They also have a great pizza. Have eaten here as well. Staff is friendly and helpful. And they don’t take tips! Read about it on their web page!

I was a fan and of the light coast IPA which is a lower calorie beer. I also enjoyed the pizza. It was really delicious.. I wasn’t a fan of the ordering process. A long line to get a beer and order pizza. Also, being carded a second time after going up to order a second beer from a different bartender (standing right next to though).
Delicious brews, fantastic pizza, and phenomenal staff! Mike poured the perfect option for me when I described what flavor profiles I typically enjoy in beer. I highly recommend this place for ANY Bloomington travelers.Oh, and Chip enjoyed the water on tap. ?
Awesome beer and great service! Our bartender was super nice and knowledgeable about what was on tap. The pizza we ordered - Green Acres - was excellent. I highly recommend the Project Gratitude and Run the World brews!
We hosted our 1 year anniversary party here and the service was amazing! We loved the atmosphere and the drinks, not to mention their pizza is delicious and fed a large crowd. Skylar was amazing! She was so friendly and made sure to take care of our group and kept me updated throughout the evening. We would recommend for your next event!
Absolutely love this place!! The staff is phenomenal and so friendly. The food is super yummy. And the drinks?! Such an awesome variety of beer, wine & more! ( they had a delicious sour which can be hard to find!)We hosted our sons 1st birthday party in their boardroom/ back area of the space. They were SO accommodating! Let me tell you-it could not have been more perfect! They had a space set up for the kids to play, which was SUCH a hit for the kids as well as the parents, of course. :) The space felt private enough, the food was displayed very nicely, and we even had our own server who was awesome. Not to mention their pricing is so affordable.We will definitely be utilizing this space for future gatherings! And of course just a visit for some great pizza & beer!Truly can’t recommend Switchyard enough!!
Originally from Bloomington and made a recent trip back to find so many wonderful new places- Switchyard was by far, my favorite; fantastic atmosphere, people playing board games, happy dogs, excellent beer varieties for my entire crew, and a super friendly staff. Kristina, behind the bar, was knowledgeable about the different brews and provided excellent service and conversation. Will definitely make this a go to place every time I visit family.
4 stars is for the best sausage pizza I've ever had. The seasoning in that sausage is on-point. The beer varieties were ambitious, but ultimately disappointing. Most of the beers taste like homebrew made with the wrong kinds of yeast for the styles. Get the pizza to-go and pick up some better beer on the way home.
