Just WOW! I just attempted to order Swing-In Pizza... Initially tried to order online and it wouldn't process. I had to call which was fine. The person I placed the order with put the order in incorrectly as carryout instead of delivery. I was told 25mins on what I said was delivery. After 45 mins I called and was met with complete disrespect. Even though I took blame and said I maybe gave the wrong address and was checking on my order. She immediately was defensive. Said the person that took my order was gone. It would be an additional 40mins and $5 for delivery or I could cancel the order. I asked if the delivery fee could be waved due to the order being taken wrong and was told the manager needed to be there to approve that and he was not. Then HUNG UP ON... Disgusted to say the least. I always try to keep.my money local. Sad. I remember when I was a kid driving to @Swing-In pizza on 17th when @Jeremiah Rice Dad owned it and getting the best customer service. The last 3 times it's been horrible.
Have been a customer of Swing In for years.. A couple of years ago they changed their process for Supreme. It was not good and thankfully they changed it back. Tonight I purchased a 14 inch Supreme and it was not good! Sausage was very granular causing slice to let crumbs fall all over the place. Sausage taste was kind of washed out. Entirely different taste from their original. On a positive note, it had a lot of ingredients. Perhaps it had double toppings, even though I did not ask for them. Very disappointed and probably won't return unless I here that they return to their 1963 taste. BTW 14 inch Supreme and small breadstick order was $32 and change, which is way too pricey!
I've been wanting to go here for a little while, but our first experience was pretty bad. When we walked in there were 3 people behind the desk that didn't say a word to us. I had to ask, "are y'all open?" and someone responded yes. Then there wasn't a menu behind the desk or paper options. I asked how to know the prices and they told me I won't. I would expect some form of explanation like "a cheese pizza is $x". We had to use the website menu that hasn't been update with new prices since 2018.I hope with some menu updates, better customer service, and more attention to details this place can improve.
We are very choosy about our pizza and like to order from local greats such as Mother Bear's, Avers and Cafe Pizzaria. I recently wanted revisit a classic from my undergraduate days, Swing-In Pizza. I wondered how their pizza was today, given changes in time and location. I ordered two pizzas and told the manager how long it had been since I'd eaten one of their pizzas. It was so delicious that I called him later to tell him how much our family enjoyed it. We look forward to our next pizza from Swing-In and believe it is just as good as the other, more well-known places -- and perhaps cheaper! Way to go!
Best pizza we have have forever. Friendly service. Lots and lots of toppings
Their pizza is amazing. Their breadsticks meah, not so hot. My problem was with the the guy who took my order. . He was pretty put off by taking my order and when I asked if he could add a bag of Doritos to it he looked like he actually had a hard job and I was asking him to do manual labor. There was no one inside so it wasn’t like there was a rush. I like local joints and supporting them but the guy there needs to go out and smoke a joint.
Good pizza but they always go too heavy on sauce even tho I order it very light
We had a houseful of friends tonight and ordered our favorites from Swing-In. It was delivered hot, fresh, and totally accurate. On top of that, it was so delicious, it is always so delicious!
The Stromboli I had last week was excellent as always. ?
Every time I go to Swing-In it is being run by women! I love how inclusive this workplace is. The workers are always kind and understanding. I have overheard customers being rude to these poor workers and feel awful! They do not deserve this please be nice to them.
