I'm from Texas and most steak and shakes are gone! But this place was fresh and really friendly, shakes are so good. Definitely a must go to.
The food was hot and delicious. Our order was accurate. I would've given 5 stars if the drive through wasn't so slow. We were in the line for a total of 40 minutes! I think that's a bit excessive!
I liked the updated location with the kiosk screens to order! An older lady didn’t know how to use the new screens and the man on the grill (Tuesday afternoon, around 4:15 pm) helped her with the entire order, it was really nice to see. I would definitely go back as the service is a lot faster now without dedicated servers! Good job Steak ‘n Shake!
I decided to take my beagles for a ride today to steak and shake…. They erupted as soon as the lady at the window tried to collect my payment and she was so nice, took several tries for me to understand she was asking if we would like a pup cup due to the craziness of my dogs. They loved it, our food was perfect also. 3 times I’ve been here and all three have been positive experiences!!
A truly terrible experience. Gone is the nice atmosphere and good customer service that Steak n Shake used to be known for. It's been replaced by only having the option to order from an automated screen, rude employees (one of whom looked like he was still in his pajamas, only saw one actually wearing the standard uniform shirt), overly salted fries,, reduced quality (but higher priced) milkshakes, dirty dining room, and poorly maintained building. Very sad to see that such a good place has gone downhill this much.
Last time we went, their machines weren't working so they asked us to come in to order. Came in, they told us the machines weren't working so please don't place orders on the kiosks (why can't a person just take the order on paper?). "Take it up with corporate," they said, "I just work here." Clearly they don't, no food was made.Anyway, we decided to try it again today. Drive through took a really long time and one of the sandwiches had something we asked specifically not to have.

Definitely struggling trying to regroup. Hopefully things will smooth out for them and they can catch up on maintenance and hire a bit more help to get rolling again. Only order at kiosk, don't think they take cash upfront. Shake was supposed to be cookies and cream, might have been... Food was good, dine in more like McDonald's or Burger King. Employees were busy but cool.
Chili was spicy and I liked it! Fries were cold, but they aren't my favorite anyway and burger was not bad.Drive through was kinda slow though, but that's all Steak n Shakes to be honest.
This place was understaffed and sanitary conditions were terrible. Burgers were laying on the prep area for at least five minutes. I am sure they would have failed a health inspection.
