Because of short staffing this store was order online only. This store should just close if that is such an issue. It seems the smart staff have quit already. I saw one of the staff walk out of the kitchen with what looked like a scared and overworked look on his face as he looked at the line of pple waiting for carry out. I had signed up for the first time for the Sip Club and ordered my first free drink. I felt guilty to walk out with a free drink only, so I ordered food. I spent $10+ on one of the new special spicy chicken sandwiches and this is what I recieved. Chicken, mayo+spicy sauce, and bun, none of the toppings. I will never order food there again. I will continue to get the free drinks until July 4. I don't see myself continuing the Sip club once the monthy fee is applied because I won't be able to sit down in the store to get my refills or order food.
Is this place shutting down soon or? Horrendous waits, can’t even order food in the restaurant -lol-. Chairs stacked everywhere literally no one at all in the FoH. Embarrassing and quite a fall from how nice it was when it opened. I work in the food service industry and have for 15 years, employee shortages are the norm, covid made it worse. Maybe start hiring at a better wage because this is just sad. I will not return to this restaurant until they are back to normal. Drive thru carry out, dine in. You know like a regular restaurant? If the fast food places are managing it but you can’t, wow. This is a response to the owner, it’s not about cleanliness, the restaurants cleanish. It looks like your closing, chairs are on tables because the dining rooms closed. There’s no one in the front at all and all of the kiosks are turned off so there’s no way to order in the restaurant. There’s cones blocking the drive thru. You seem to have missed my main points and that is further disappointing. Re-staff your restaurant, hire at a competitive wage so you can get employees that care, re-open your dining room, your drive-thru, bring your restaurant back to life. It used to be bustling and busy and a nice place to eat even after covid, now it’s a carry out restaurant you have to order online from with a 30 min wait after you get there.
Ordered about $80 worth of food and disappointed. Ordered a Bacon Turkey Bravo sandwich and a Kids Turkey sandwich among quite a few other things and was out of avacodo which o could live with but the turkey is usually chunks of turkey not thin slices that looked like it was bought at Aldi’s $.25 packs. Thin with a hair as a bonus. My daughters sandwich was the same. The chicken noodle soup was all broth. Only thing that was good was the chipotle chicken melt which of course was without avocado and the melt my other daughter received was smothered in onions. Out of 4 meals 1 was decent but missing ingredients and the smoothies were great. Customer service was good and the gentleman was nice at least. Because of the customer service I’ll give them 2 stars instead of 1. We spend more than I care to admit eating out and order from here once or twice a month and it’s been bad two times in a row so we are done here. Unfortunately it’s a trend here lately since the pandemic here in Bloomington.
You can’t order at the front and they remove the kiosks to order so you have to order online or via the app. Really inconvenient. I understand worker shortages but seriously makes the experience difficult and unpleasant not having easy ways to order or ask questions. Frequently out of key ingredients. Impossible to find anyone at front of house. Everything happens in the kitchen cause there are so few workers.
The food has gone from average to just edible. The service ... well ... nonexistent really. And don't even try to order pickup either to get around the service problem, as they will tell you a time, and it will always be about 30 minutes later than that time--and they expect you to wait for the order regardless. This was once a decent alternative with relatively healthy options. Now, you should avoid it at all costs.
I’m gonna be honest, this is not the greatest Panera out there. It may look like a nice one on the outside but it was quite a letdown. We stopped in Bloomington for breakfast and decided to go to this Panera. The staff were very friendly and we got our order placed fast however, we ended up waiting at least 15 minutes for our food as we watched at least 2 other people who ordered after us get their food first. By the time we got our food, my bagel was not very warm and just room temperature (btw, I asked for it toasted). The breakfast sandwich I got however was nice, warm, and tasty!Overall, this Panera is kind of a letdown. At least the employees were friendly.
This Panera is the best. I've been to other ones and this one always gets my special order just the way I like it -- generous with the veggies and tasting fresh. They're also fast, even when it's pretty busy. I've only ever had one problem (long ago, missing two toppings) and the manager made it right with a friendly attitude. Highly recommended.
OK, I’ll admit Panera has some really delicious food. So why the 2 star rating?I love curry dishes. I was excited to try the new curry chicken soup, the pictures look chunky and delicious and amazing. So I paid $7.55 for a small bowl of this curry chicken soup with an apple on the side. I can’t stress how disappointed I was. Not with the taste, the taste was outstanding. It was the fact that I was served mostly broth. I may have had two small pieces of chicken in the entire bowl, maybe three edemame pieces, a few shreds of carrot, but it was 98% liquid. I’m feeling pretty upset that I paid over seven dollars for a bowl of liquid. It was nothing like the pictures advertised, which was full of chunks of chicken and vegetables. So just be warned. You’ll always drop a good amount of money at Panera, but you’re not always guaranteed to get what you expect or what is advertised. Now I will have to find someplace else to have lunch because a bowl of liquid isn’t going to satisfy me for long. Very disappointed, Panera. Do better!!!
I went through the drive-thru for a cup of coffee (before they closed it at this location) and was given a cold and diluted drink when I had explicitly asked for hot coffee. When I went back through the empty line to request a hot drink, they had closed the window. I knocked and, while the man who handed me my drink saw me standing there, he did not bother to do anything. The other workers did nothing, too. Nobody opened the window to help me even though they had seen me a minute ago.Weeks later, I went back again and ordered a white steak and white cheddar sandwich for pick up and the worker who checked my order left an explicitly offensive comment in the ticket. Not going back to this Panera in Bloomington, Indiana. It’s an embarrassment. You’ve lost a long time customer. I understand we’re going through challenging times, but offending customers and giving them poor quality food shouldn’t be the answer.
I've never had an issue with the establishment that couldn't be easily resolved since I've only ever dined in there. Looking at these reviews though, y'all should contact a store for their hours and not rely solely on Google. Panera can't control what Google lists and doesn't take into consideration things specific to individual stores. Google listings do not speak for the company. Also, to the individual who said "Well, if I wanted to go to Germany, I'd get a plane ticket and fly there. They are not allowing dine in even tho google says they are. False! Also, if you consider yourself a free American with rights, don't go to this Panera.... I will never go here again" Get bent, you sorry excuse for a person. If drive through is closed and dine in is closed, it must mean they don't have people. Because once again, a company isn't paying enough especially in Bloomington which is the most expensive city in the state to live in. All these same people leaving reviews complaining about drive through and stuff sound like the same kind of people who'd say, "If people don't like food service they should find another job" and that's what has happened. Some of these reviews are more highlighting the fact some of your are just terrible people and look down on others who work food service.
