I really enjoy their more traditional Thai dishes....but I think they need to stick to that. I tried sushi here for the first time, and honestly it was "meh" at best. By far the least impressive sushi I've had in town. :(Update: as we paid we realized no one actually checked on us or asked how the food was throughout. I hope this was just an off night, but I'm disappointed.
Food was decent but the service was surely below average. We waited at the door for 10 mins and no one bothered to seat us. When finally seated, another 10 mins wait before we got water - the only cup we had as the water was never refilled. We had to ask for the to-go box ourselves at the bar area and the lady there looked at us and kept doing her stuffs. Not sure if we will go back because, unfortunately, it seems dining there is a burden to the people serving there.
Food is amazing but service, especially during lunch rush, is not the best. I’ve had servers forget my drink multiple times, and it often takes a long time to get the check. Love their lunch bento box!!
I recommend eating here! I have been eating here for 5 days, I come for dinner after work and get my lunch for the next day. The food here is excellent and the service is great. Their tomkha is fantastic and they have many vegetarian options.I love the variety of choices they offer. The vegetarian sushi rolls are very good but typical of what you'd see for choices no super special rolls. The portions are big and filling. The atmosphere is relaxing. I wish I could pick this place up and take it with me. A good place for a family dinner or dinner date with your significant other or even alone.Ingredients taste fresh and authentic very happy with my experience all around they definitely earned 5 stars from me.
My Thai Cafe & Sushi Bar West was a good choice. Plenty of seating. Service was pleasant. The food was delicious (as always) and fairly quick. Our visit was great, no complaints and will happily return if we're on the West Side.
Love thier Drunken Man Fried Rice and any of the curry dishes. Also love to just close my eyes and randomly point at the menu and eat whatever it says and I ha e like everything I have tried from thier. This place alone has made tia food my favorite kinda food, sorry Mexican. They also have authentic tia beers that are pretty good nothing fancy just taste like good Ole beer. Prices are fairly decent. U definitely get your $s worth.
Delicious Tom Kha soup-I got shrimp-my husband got chicken came back a second day because it was so great! Little off the beaten path but I highly recommend coming. Clean! quiet! pretty decor! and amazing food!
After having Thai food across the west and midwest My Thai’s Yellow Curry and Pad Thai was very disappointing.Pad Thai - No sprouts, no peanuts, lack of sauce, no lime - just a lot of dry rice noodles.Yellow Curry - half the size of any thai restaurant we’ve ever visited and the curry lacked the amount of coconut milk and sweetness we prefer.Everyone at My Thai was very nice but in Bloomington Happy Thai wins for quality and flavor.
Love love love this family owned (at least previously) place! Great food, atmosphere, and hardworking staff. Really wish the place would listen to customers on the ordering process- you CANNOT get through on the phone to place an order. They need to improve the system with more than one line to answer. Other than that the place has been amazing for years and hope it stays around with great menu!
Love this Thai restaurant. It's clean and beautifully updated, but most importantly the food and service are memorable. They have a separate sushi bar which is like a VIP section! Two drinks, an appetizer and two entrees will run you around $50. Worth the price.
