Really torn here on my review! I heard from several people that this was the best pizza in Indiana… let’s get this out of the way, the Ale Emporium has the best pizza in Indy. I was open minded tho and took the family while on vacation. This pizza is better than average probably a solid 7.5 - 8 depending on your scale. Best the value is there if you do the early bird. We got the traditional style. Love the caramelized cheese on the end. This is a classic case of the bar just being set too high. If your in the area check it out, but not worth making a special trip.
We had the Pesto cheese garlic bread (not pictured) and breaded mushrooms (not pictured) as an appetizer. Of the two, the pesto bread was my favorite, it had pesto under and drizzled over the cheese. You could honestly eat it without dipping sauce, however, I'm a dipper and so I enjoyed the cheese dip thst was requested. The breaded mushrooms were not at all as i expected. Instead of whole small mushrooms, they were sliced (resembling potato wedges). It tasted better than most of breaded mushrooms I've tried. For a drink I had an unsweetened peach tea, (it was fabulous) that came in a massive glass. The pizza, my side of the table ordered, was a pan crust with pepperoni and mozzarella and a pan crust create your own (garlic parm. Sauce, chicken, spinach, red onion, green pepper, mushrooms, portobello mushrooms, garlic and mozzarella and feta cheese). I didn't try the pepperoni, but it looked tasty. The one I tried had missing ingredients (we didn't complain). As flavor goes, it was okay, I've either had better with almost the same ingredients, or it failed in comparison to the pesto bread. Almost forgot! We ordered brownies as well (not pictured). They had a good brownie texture (not cake-like) with a lovely chocolate taste. They were served warm. All in all everyone was happy with the food and service. Definitely would go again.
Went to to celebrate a birthday. The restaurant was not very busy. Serve took a long to bring the food. We had a couple of large salads, 4 pizzas, wings. The salad as usually had wilted lettuce and frozen lettuce in it, pizza fair not as good as they use to be. Service was slow. Maybe they were under staffed. Not sure, but to add your tip on to the bill and neglect your table because you know your getting the tips, is wrong. You would have gotten tipped more if we would have received better service.
Pizza was delicious. Our waitress Sarah was a delight, very attentive and upbeat. Also loved that they offer a cherry flavor shot for my diet Dr. Pepper.
Had a couple buddies down from Michigan and I was like we go to try motherbears because its the best, well how my feelings have changed. We ordered a large pizza a small personal pizza, cheese bread, and Pesto cheese bread. This was a delivery order as well. They delivered us the large pizza but somebody else order as well. We never received our bread or pesto bread. We called the store only to talk to a manger who said they will have it back out to us right away. We never saw our correct order and never heard back from the restaurant. WASTE OF 55 dollars. I will not be coming back. IF YOU LIKE BEING LIED TO THEN THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU.
Love Love this place not only is the environment inside of the place so cool but the staffing is amazing the servers are amazing and our family had an amazing night. Just make sure you bring markers or pen so you can leave a message for someone or sign your name because they do not give it to you but besides that no complaints.
Mother Bear's is really well known for their pizza but you should definitely try the Sweet Georgia Brown salad or the Cobb salad. Their wings are pretty bomb, definitely some of the best wings in town.
Good tasty pizza. Have a lot of toppings to choose from, some I've not seen in other pizza shops. Will go back for sure. Bread sticks were very good... nice and warm and loved the garlic butter dipping sauce for them.
most certainly enjoy your food for hospitality is nice it's just crazy how busy you guys are at times but other than that have no complaints
Good food. Fresh bread was amazing. Good specials. Early evening deal 4-6. Glad i stopped here.
