The bar has a lot of cute decorations and design, but honestly is incapable of getting many customers in the door. The dance floor is usually scattered with a couple of friend groups. The second time I went there, someone stole my coat, and I later found out two other mutual friends had their coats stolen the same night. Management ignored my complaints/inquiries and needs to take action about this.

Colorful tropical modern chic vibes. Dance floor and stage for performances. We went on a weekday close to 11 pm so it wasn't busy at all. Only had drinks but would be curious to see if their food menu is good. We ordered a Blue Hawaiian, and Buzz the tower which didn't disappoint as far as rum goes.Street parking and parking garage available.

Such an awesome place! My wife and I spent New Year's Eve at Kalao and listened to Thin Lines! The atmosphere was wonderful, the wait staff was superb, and the drinks were wonderful! Definitely going to return and definitely would recommend this place to anybody who wants to go to a nice rum bar!

Love the Cactus Tacos on their new menu. My partner said their chimichangas are the best in town.I've only dined here but I might check out Latin Night and Funk Night one of these days

Amazing murals, and atmosphere. Definitely a fine rum bar.

Cool place to stop, grab a drink and hang out. The stage area in the back room was great and the band was fantastic that night. Guarantee I’ll be stopping by here again next time I’m in Bloomington

Bouncer was super rude. He thought I was “too intoxicated” to go in when I literally was close to sober. When it was my turn in line, he looked at my ID for a long time. Then he asked me my address, my zip code, and then started asking me math problems to determine whether I was drunk I guess? When I couldn’t immediately answer all his math questions, he said he wasn’t going to let me in because I was apparently too drunk. Which like I said, that was not even close to true. My friends were also with me and knew I had barely drank and tried to tell him that. Not sure what his deal was.

I was honestly super disappointed, we came here simply to check out a new place. The waitress we had was amazing. And the guacamole was super good, but for the price it isn't worth it.I ordered the burger and for the price I was expecting a juicy burger with flavor. But instead I got a dry and bland sandwich with some cheap cheese slices. My friends got the Cuyagua and the only notable thing about it was they found the meat pieces on it to be mediocre, definitely overcooked. While the potatos were way too over seasoned. We got three cocktails and my friend took one sip and pushed it away and the other had to order a sprite to use as a chaser. Personally, I just held my breath and drank really fast.Normally, I love a good meal and have no problem paying the bill at the end. But, when the waitress handed me the check it was a brutal reminder of the food and atmosphere I just endured.By the the end, I didn't even wanna stay out. I was so disappointed we just went straight home.

Nick W. was a wonderful server, we really enjoy bingo night it’s always so fun the guys who run bingo make the night so awesome
