I ordered for DoorDash and everything went wrong, Lemon Alfredo doesn't have the breaded chicken it usually carries, I ordered two Alfredo fettuccini, both with grilled chicken and I got an order with 4 small pieces of chicken. This is a robbery. If you notice in the photo, the portion of each dish is minimal, considering that I had already eaten at the restaurant.
We went here from out of town so we're unsure how it would be. We were so happy with our experience! My husband's calzone was best we'd had in years and my chicken parmesan was perfection. We had wonderful service to by Will which has been harder to find these days. We will definitely come back! If your worried like we were after reading portion sizes are small you should not be. Ours were both very well sized and I couldn't eat it all.
Decent little Italian Restaurant that hits the spot. We dined on a particularly busy Wednesday and got half off a bottle of wine. We enjoyed the soup (vegetable medley of some sort) and Ceaser salad to start. The flavor lacked considerably for the Mushroom Ravioli and the Creamy Andouille Pasta - these would potentially be the highlights of an Italian restaurant. However, we will be back again for Tiramisu - it was the best we have had in town!
DeAngelo's nailed it tonight! Our pizza was outstanding ? Good job ?
I am not sure where the "Creole" part of the DeAngelo's name comes from but I have always enjoyed my visits here. Guests tend to skew a bit older so it is not necessarily a fashionable place. It is just a good neighborhood Italian restaurant that has been around for ages, with good service and good food. Calzones and pizzas are nice but my go to dish is the spaghetti with meatballs, simple but rich in flavor.
The food was delicious. Our waiter Nathan B. was horrible. He did not make us feel welcome nor wanted. Did not offer any drink refills or offer dessert. I sat for 15 minutes with nothing to drink until another waitress came by and asked if I needed a refill. Seemed he was more worried about another party that was ordering $20 bottles of wine.
I ordered the shrimp and crawfish diavalo and chocolate cake for carryout. It was seasoned very well with a hint of spice on the shrimp and the cake was delicious. I'll definitely come back for another slice.
Great flavors, bad portion sizing. Our meal was around $60 for two half full bowls of pasta and half orders of appetizers. If the pasta came with complimentary bread and a salad or soup, it would be much easier to deal with the price. Being Italian, I definitely loved the flavors. But, being Italian, I also expect to be full after a meal. Definitely recommend complimentary bread and salad/soups with your entrees!
Gave this place a chance just to get slow service on a dead night , not to mention I contracted Clostridium perfringens gastroenteritis(A type of food poisoning) while eating the mushroom ravioli. Never Again !
We have dined at De’Angelos many times and have taken advantage of some of their specials. We came here with friends to try some of their 1/2 price wines on Wednesday. The two Chicken Parmesan dinners were served and the chicken was so burnt on the top and bottom that we sent it back. When our replacement Chicken Parmesans were brought to the table they were still overcooked and I asked that the server take mine off the bill. I was offered a free dessert but declined. They were also out of several of the wines. Sorry to see the quality of their food be so lacking. The restaurant was busy, and they do take reservations, the servers were friendly but the food was a big disappointment.
