Fabulous food and service
Staff is excellent! Fresh bread is great! But unfortunately the food quality here has dropped significantly. The meat was chewy and did not taste like a select cut. I requested for it to be Medium and it was Medium-well, probably closer to well done for most of the steak. Not a deal breaker, but the steak just did not taste good. It didn't taste fresh. I would pass on the steak. The prices unfortunately do not match the quality of cuisine.
Excellent food and service! The atmosphere was perfect for our dinner party. It has a rich feeling that is both romantic but also historic, the building is an old church and it has real Ivy on the outside. The food was delicious. Multiple people at our table had the filet, it was very tasty. I had the Prime Rib, it was cooked perfectly and had a very tasty side of mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus.Their service was excellent. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and on top of it. They did a great job paying attention to the food allergy at our table and even helped with suggesting alternatives for the apps. The bus’s boys cleared the table without being noticed and kept our area clean. This place is 5/5!
Great food, ambiance & service.
We have been patrons of Ivy for a while, a few times dining in and mostly take out. It had always been great. We even had Ivy for a New Year’s dinner during the pandemic and it was great. We dined in today and it was a total disappointment. First the appetizers, we got the crab cakes and calamari. The crab cakes had a strong “fridge flavor”, not fresh at all. The calamari was SUPER rubbery. For the main entrees, the rib eye steak wasn’t cooked to the temperature we requested but that’s ok, we’re fine with something being slightly over cooked, that didn’t bother us as much as the fact that some portions of the rib eye steak tasted just bad, like rotten meat, it left a very undesirable after taste. We also ordered the duck, same thing, some of it was good but some of it tasted like the duck meat was going bad. Like I said, we have been patrons of this restaurant for a while, and I think we’d give them another chance at some point, but tonight was a huge disappointment
We had a small luncheon to celebrate our wedding. The first floor room was cozy and cute! The staff was so accommodating to our needs and very friendly. The food was excellent.
The food was delicious!! The space has some history which is fun but overall not our favorite atmosphere. Lighting was dim and space was a little cold. It was an older crowd. This is the most people that we have seen not wearing masks - January 2022
The Ivy continues to get better and better. The chef takes this fantastic variety of offerings and presents all of them beautifully. We do date night near the fire and business meals at the bar and parties in the great private rooms. Truly a unique place and super team in front and back.
This was our first time here and we really enjoyed it. The ambience was lovely and the food was delicious. We tried the peppercorn filet bites which were perfectly cooked, and the ricotta and grilled ciabatta (only wish the ricotta was a bit more whipped or smooth and easier to spread), the bourbon chicken skewer and crab crusted tilapia. I'm not sure if this was because it's the holidays, but it was a very slow and relaxed meal. Great for catching up or celebrating something special. We didn't feel rushed at all. The only thing we didn't like was the bourbon cappuccino cake (it was really dense and we weren't fans of the flavor either).
Great restaurant and excellent service. We sent our large order a day in advanced to help with time constraints. They executed it perfectly. Our server was also on top of the game and made sure there wasn't a dry cup or idle empty plates. Very impressed.
