Great Atmosphere and even better pizza.
We don’t talk about Gino, no, no, no! Well, once upon a time we did but those days have passed. With the Chicagoland area filled with Lou’s and Gio’s, Gino’s East has taken a back seat in the battle for the best thick crust deep dish/stuffed crust pizza. Other than the 2 Chicago locations, you’d be hard pressed to find a location near you. Lucky for me, the Wheaton location was within 15 mins of my house so I decided to give it a shot. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t quite the same taste that I remembered from Gino’s East 10-15 yrs ago. The crust was dry and lacked flavor that you would find in a Malnati’s deep dish. And the sauce wasn’t as robust nor was the cheese as dense or stretchy as Giordano’s but it was by no means bad. But then again, it was never as good as the other two but at least it held its own with its distinct cornmeal crust. Now its just dry and lacks flavor. Next time, I’ll try to hit one of the Chicago locations and eat inside the restaurant instead of carrying out. Oh, and hopefully I’ll remember to just stick to the basic cheese instead of the OMG w/basil because it became somewhat of a distraction as my main focus was to be satisfy my ravenous appetite with tons of gooey melted cheese.
Great pizza - one of the best, but and this is a BIG BUT...Regarding drinks; this location only sells wine & beer.Additionally, the manager needs to work on his customer service skills. They completely made the wrong pizza for us and all he was willing to do was 1/2 off of a pizza we did not order... or sit and wait another hour for them to me the correct pizza. I do recommend Gino's East, just NOT this location.
My husband and I live nearby and love stopping by for their lunch time special pizza. Everyone is extremely friendly and service is great. Just a fun place!!!?
First time trying out this place. Very nice working staff. We ordered two different appetizers garlic bread and wings. Both were just ok. And for pizza we had the stuff Gino's sausage and it was just ok.
First time trying this place tonight . We had a coupon and are new to the area looking for a new pizza place. We are a fries with pizza kinda family and the pizza was mediocre but our fries were so overdone and dry that they were hollow in the middle. I could have used them as straws if I bit the ends off.

Gino's East building in Wheaton was originally a fire station. They have many photographs and fire equipment throughout the restaurant. The brass pole at the bar was last used at the fire station. I ordered the mozzarella sticks, the all in chopped salad, and the Gino's Supreme deep dish Italian sausage pizza.
I just tried this Gino’s East for the first time and it was so amazing! It seems to be a popular place in this area of Wheaton. The customer service here is exceptional, their staff is very attentive, friendly, nice, and decent. They are very accommodating and they all know how to talk to their customers properly the whole time. They also know how to treat and serve the customers so well. Very personable staff. They will even greet you once you enter the place and also guide you to the vacant spot for you to wait the serving of your food. This place of Gino’s East is really worth the drive, they are so easy to find, and they are very near to other well-known places around the area. You can visit anytime you want. Very convenient location. This is fantastic Chicago style pizza! Everything at their place was great. They are really better than other well-known pizza places around the area. Outstanding service. Their staff made my experience much better and unforgettable. I would really love to go back here again soon when I have some free time. Also want to explore more of their food on the menu.
