We had a reservation and had a too long wait to be seated. A drink order ensued and one of the drinks totally unacceptable. Rather than advise that flavor was out the waiter made his own substitution - better if he’d come out and ask instead of assuming, as his choice was not what that person could drink. Then we placed our order - with NO substitutes just a please no cheese in a crepe/egg dish no onion in a skillet, hollandaise on the side; NOT one of those requests was honored in our party of 8. After an HOURLONG or more wait as we watched later tables served, the food arrived in LONG intervals instead of all together, AND we had to ask multiple times where is our food. Then we had to REMIND the server that 5 of our orders should have an English muffin which again took an inordinate amount of time. The waitstaff did Not check our drinks until we asked. No coming around to let us know about food delay or offer to bring children’s order first. And absolutely no empathy from any manager - just a lame oh we are super busy . If you cannot serve that many tables then do NOT seat that many!!!!!! Not only are we not returning we’ll tell everyone we know to avoid this place.
This restraunt could not have got it more right . There was no wait had an excellent waitress and received our food in record time. The food is excellent. The presentation of the food was great and the portions are an excellent large size .all top quality ingredients making top quality food. The decor and atmosphere is awesome along with the staff can only say if you don't eat here it's your definite loss.love this place
This place is just plain wonderful.The ambiance of regular people having a good meal at a fair price was just amazing to see. The staff were all wonderful. I watched their interactions with other tables and it just made me smile.This place made my day better.The food is wonderful. I had the breakfast burrito and requested avocado be added, along with some scrambled eggs and the corned beef hash. I had to take some home, but I’ll tell you I wanted to finish it all then.The owner is a wonderful person who seems to have the most kind and welcoming soul.If you’re looking for a good plate of food, and want to support an actual locally owned business that is operated by a wonderful Woman, please stop here. Parking is easy and the food and people are wonderful.
Really bad experience today at Egg’lectic. Have been coming here for years. Today, after waiting 45 minutes for our table, we waited an hour and a half for our food. For eggs. Every fifteen minutes when we flagged down the server (who was hiding from our table) he said ‘another 15 minutes.’ When we asked the manager he said ‘online orders, nothing we can do.’ Well there is something they can do. They can prioritize their seated guests. They can choose to not lie to their customers. They can explain what they are going to do make it right.The treatment was really rude. No ‘can we get you some toast to tide you over’ no ‘I am really sorry.’ Just ‘nothing we can do.’ The experience has been truly awful. Cannot recommend. Egg Harbor down the street will be getting our business from now on.
Five of us sat at an ample round table placed at a corner window. We ordered a variety of dishes, from omelets to wraps to sandwiches. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The staff was friendly and the owner was especially nice to us. It was the first time I had been to Egg'lectic Cafe, but not the last!
I ordered the Santa Fe frittata and it was horrible. Scrambled eggs were really overcooked and it had absolutely ZERO flavor to it. I also had a side of pancakes and they were VERY tough and also had no flavor. Really disappointed. Our inlaws love the place so maybe it was an off day but on a positive note, our server was great.

Love this place. BEST food especially breakfast in the suburbs. The staff is phenomenal-always friendly attentive and helpful. I haven’t been to a restaurant where the food and service are this good in years. EVERYONE should give this place a try. They are open for breakfast and lunch.
Dropped by for breakfast with a coworker. Asked the server about the classic eggs Benedict and he said they were a popular item. I ordered and quickly found out why it was popular. I'd say they were probably a strong 8/10 for flavor and 10/10 for freshness of the English muffin and egg prep. Coffee here is good too and the service was 10/10 as well. I will definitely eat here again.
Food was awesome! It came out quickly too, which was impressive because the place was packed on a Sunday morning. The server was not particularly pleasant but she was rushed and busy. The restaurant itself was packed and loud but that's not their fault. Very clean and efficient. As long as you are not crazy particular about noise, I'd recommend this restaurant to everyone.
