Outside is a bit deceiving… Bright colors and an authentic look made me a bit nervous my first time. After hearing a neighbor rave about it, I gave it a try. Absolutely amazing!Coming from Texas, I have high standards for tacos and this does not disappoint. Order first and then sit down - either out or in. They bring chips to your tables and salsa bar is unlimited as long as you dine in. Plenty of options and absolutely delicious salsa! When they mean hot, they truly mean HOT.The table staff is very friendly. Limited service as they only bring chips, food, and clear the table after you but they are always so friendly and smiling. Be sure to leave a tip when you pay before sitting down as the staff absolutely does the work to earn it. A true gem - give it a try!
The food here is good except over prices compared to other Mexicans places with better food that's also authentic. The $3 for a side of rice is fine except you only fill the container halfway. I called to complain amd the lady who answered the phone said she was busy and didn't have the time to deal with it. I won't be going back there again. I have been coming here for years however they have truly gone done hill over the years
The food was pretty good generally, but the woman who answered the phone/cashier, was quite abrupt in the way she put me on hold and proceeded to never return to my phonecall. I was in the area, so I went in there anyway to place my order in person, and the cashier, who sounded the same as the person on the phone, was just as curt. There are many Mexican food places much closer to my home than Westmont, I'm not driving all this way just to receive rude service, regardless of the food being decent. Do better!
First time coming to Taco Grill, we “discovered” it thanks to Google Maps and Reviewers like myself that enjoy posting reviews. At first sight it is a small little house that seems like it could go either way, good or bad. Do not let looks deceive you! It is delicious! Ordered the Enmolada Dinner, it’s 4 tacos of one’s choice of meat, I chose chicken. They are covered in mole and have lettuce and onion over them. The plate also has rice and beans. It is a huge plate. Also ordered the Hawaiian Torta, it was also delicious. The bread was toasted to perfection with a nice crunch, not too hard or too soft- it was perfect. Also this plate was very filling. The awesome thing is also the salsa bar- they have so many different types of salsas and their chips are good. I found them to be a little too salty, but with the salsa the salt was okay. Will definitely be back to try other items.
I’ve been here twice, both take out. First time, tacos tasted great & I tried a couple different salsas that also tasted good. I asked for a couple extra salsa containers and they gave them to me no problem. Now this is my second time in & I was given two salsa containers for 3 tacos. I asked for some extra containers and she gives me one more. By the time I realized it was just one extra she was busy, so I asked another person for some extra salsa containers. She said they only give one per taco. Yet if you sit down in there, the salsa bar is up for grabs unlimited and there are metal washable containers. Not sure if I will come back, food is good but it felt unfair just because I was taking home I was limited on the salsa bar. Makes me just want to go to Taco Maya because they’ve never had an issue with how much salsa I take. I guess if you come here you should only sit down. Also, they wrapped my 3 tacos (each with different meat) in one wrapper and they all were spilled over one another, they should probably separate them by meat at least.
Taco Grill is Awesome ?Their Cuban sandwich is my favorite, however the pastor tacos are a good option too. They also have several salsa options from mild to super spicy- And the salsa is free!!!Good food, polite staff & reasonably priced. So if you like Mexican food, check them out
Nothing short of amazing as far as the food goes! Fresh and cooked with out being greasy or dry, my only gripe is that you have to make sure the Salsas are fresh as I have packed a couple to go only to get home and find them opened from the gas build up and leaking all over
They got our order wrong TWICE .then the waitress seemed irritated that we kept saying something after she said we were wrong. Luckily we kept our receipt smh. The al pastor tacos are alright. The carne asada tacos are GROSS. The tortilla chips were pure sodium.gross . The ONLY good thing was the salsas they offer. That's it. Don't understand how this place has 4some stars . Not okay .
Always solid. Very unique salsa variety. Cochinita pibil tacos were so good. I usually don’t care too much for tortas from other places but the tortas at Taco Grill are delicious. The Hawaiian torta is my favorite so far.
I truly enjoyed my 3 Taco plate. The lady who served me was absolutely pleasant and friendly. I will return and will recommend. Thank you...it truly was excellent.
