Went there around 6pm on a Friday. You would expect them to be ready for a dinner rush. I was told there was a 10 minute wait for shredded cheese??? They ran out of steak. The workers were like deer caught in headlights and looked like they had no clue of what was going on. The place was utterly a mess, very dirty, and was so gross we just left. They lost out on our 47 bucks. We went to the one in Downers Grove which there was no comparison. It was clean organized and they kept restocking product.
I have now started calling them "Otle" because the two closest to my house never have chips , at least on weeknights and Sundays. They've now also been out of salad dressing the last three times, so there goes having a salad.Who wants to go to a restaurant when they never have their entire menu available? last time their excuse was we're understaffed so we don't have chips, fajita veges, salad dressing, chocolate milk, one type of beans, corn salsa, and something else, too long of a list to remember. There were either 3 or 4 employees that we saw.
I hate posting bad reviews but I felt it was necessary. I came to this chipotle location on Saturday and it was fairly busy. I waited for 25 minutes in the line and finally got to order. I ordered my usual bowl and requested plain white rice due to an allergy. The worker said he did not have time to get the rice as it was “too busy”. This has never happened to me at any other chipotle. I’ve been to this location a number of times and my request was always granted. I left without any food and my time wasted. Do better Chipotle!
I hate posting bad reviews, but I feel like customers should be aware of what they are getting into here. had a poor experience today at this location - I placed an online order for 5pm and I'm still waiting for my order at 537pm. I understand they are understaffed, but a nice update of "your order is on its way" or "thanks for your patience" would go a long way in situations like this. I spoke with 2 others also waiting for their online orders 25+ minutes, that have had the same issue in the past. this is the last time my family and I are coming to this location.
I am writing this understanding that it's a tough job to work with the public, but having said that, I'm comparing this service against other establishments who deal with the same public. This Chipotle is the worst and it's such a shame because it used to be so great (pre-pandemic). It has a huge dining room, much larger than other ones and the employees that worked there were so nice and efficient. I know they didn't have enough employees for a couple weeks, but now that they appear to be more fully staffed, I think it's just poor management. First, they seem like they are always out of something...cheese (how do you run out of cheese?!?), salsa, hard shells, cups). Second, they always are running out of stuff on the line and then try to skimp on the ingredients just to make it through your order...if you ask for more, they act like you're really putting them out because they have to go in the back. Third, they have so much random stuff go wrong here...dining room is closed, C02 leak in the restaurant, credit card machine broken, pop machine broken, fountain machine closed due to soda shortage (really? You're the only one experiencing that) etc. It's just a mess. By the way, it is a literal mess too. I've walked out because of how dirty it looked and I've heard people do the same. What I think the main problem is that everyone is miserable there. You ask if they have hard shelled tacos and they say "NOPE" and don't look up. You ask them for more cheese and they seem put out. At most chipotle's you can tell who the manager is because they are more courteous and kind, but the people I think are the managers (a guy and a middle-aged lady) are neither. If the managers hate working there, you can see why everyone else would too. Chipotle, do yourself a favor and either get new management in this place or just shut it down, it's ruining the brand.
The building is located on the corner at the intersection of 2 streets and has a spacious parking lot. There was a small line so while I waited, I looked at the big menu above me as it was my first time ordering from Chipotle. I ordered a burrito bowl with chicken, white rice, black beans, pico de gallo (which they call salsa), sour cream, cheese, and guacamole (for an extra $2.40) without any sides or drinks. I wish I had also asked for lettuce. The people scooping out the food were looking for quantity, not quality so there was some added pressure to order quickly. Going quickly caused employees to spill some of the food and there were some in spots where they shouldn’t have been, like the counter by the cash-register. I opted for take-out. It wasn’t until I was on the highway that I realized there were no utensils or napkins in the bag with my food. I had to find a spoon in the car. After the first taste of the food, I already regretted buying it. There was almost no flavor except for the saltiness from what I think was chicken. My first time at Chipotle really disappointed me.
I used DoorDash and ordered a burrito with brown Rice, barbacoa , and cheese. Instead I got a small burrito not even the size when you go inside, and white rice. Beans are hard as well as tortillaTbh I am really disappointed and very dissatisfied. , Hope this was a one time thing and it doesn’t happen again. This was not worth the money I paid for.
Chipotle is a chain and the food is consistent. Service is what is different.I had interactions with three employees. The first was fairly slow, but appeared to be in training, so I understand that can happen. The second appeared to be the manager. She was bossy and irritated with everyone, including me. I saw they were making white rice in the back and politely asked how much longer it would be (I'd already waited 20 minutes, so what is a few more). She snapped at me and said they didn't have any white rice and wouldn't. I explained that my child would only eat the white rice (I could clearly see it being made right behind her) and I wouldn't mind if the person behind me went first. I was trying to not hold up the line. She then snapped at the crew on the back line. The person behind me also wanted white rice so we offered to let the person behind him go. She yelled at them again. Nobody in line was being impatient, she could have been nice. Then she moved to cashier and another girl helped. She was kind and fast. I asked for extra cheese and the bosy redhead again snapped (this time at both of us) because I already had cheese under my guac. I truly feel bad for these employees and if they have to work with her, they all deserve a raise. The bosy and rude redhead yelling at everyone was clearly not striving for employee or customer satisfaction.
Literally just walked in to get a veggie bowl the lady make the orders are extra stingy with the toppings. She asked if I wanted veggies I said yes but then I looked at them and they were literally brown and black mush I asked if they had any more or would be making some anytime soon she replied no the grill guy isn’t here yet like what? The grill guys isn’t here yet it’s 430 in the afternoon. Should have just pulled it from the bar at that point and say we are out instead of trying to sell it to the customers. Disgusting.
Ordered on the app and it said what time it would be ready by. Showed up 10 minutes late and the the order isn't ready for another 20+ minutes. Asked to speak to the manager and had to wait on that as well. Then she was rude and didn't even bat an eyelash that there were several costumers waiting angrily for their orders. There were several people in line waiting to order as the workers just stood around and did nothing. Very frustrating experience.
