Visited today for the curtsy time and the food was absolutely wonderful. I had red beans and rice. ( the best I have ever had). The beef brisket was seasoned and tender but they could give a little more for the price. I will be trying different things.
Wow !!! is the first thing that comes to mind after my 1st bite of the Pulled Pork from Browns in Wgkn. I've NEVER had Pulled Pork this amazing ever & I've had it from Illinois to TN & this by far is tops! It's so juicy & tender on it's own without any BBQ sauce. One of the best things about it is that it's NOT fatty & there is no grizzle or tough dried out pieces & other places always have this. It is by far the BEST Pulled Pork I've ever had & I can't wait to go back for more. You have to try this!!
Stopped here for my first time, I saw the sign for Brisket, thought I would give it a try. It was the best brisket I have ever had from a BBQ place. The Brisket is just on Saturdays, but they have other options like rib tips. I'll be going back for sure to try these out.
I went there with the intentions of getting some chicken. I pulled in and would have preferred to walk inside to look at menu but it’s closed inside . Drive thru only. Long story short, I ordered the rib tips, pulled pork. I apologize, but there box states to give feedback. The ribs had no meat , semi smoke flavor, very tough and the sauce was not good. Sides were ok. Only thing positive is the staff was friendly.
The bbq is delightful. I had the rib tips. My only complaint is that you only get 6 rib tips for $10. That's a bit of a rip off. The owners need to change that quickly.
I am in love with the smoked chicken, literally some of the best chicken I have ever eaten!! Super juicy and the flavor was amazing. I HIGHLY recommend Test Kitchen BBQ!!
Not the best BBQ. An order of medium St. Louis ribs was 3 ribs…I’d hate to see what the small looks like. It really wasn’t worth paying for and a bad first experience of Waukegan’s BBQ. Furthermore, utensils were requested and the employee had her hand on the mouth portion of the fork to give…unsanitary.
Grabbed some Brisket on Saturday. Probably the best brisket I have ever had. Gave a friend a couple of slices of the two pounds I bought. By the time he asked if he could have some more I had finished the rest. No regrets!
This place is amazing!! Not only do the have Browns chicken, but the Test Kitchen BBQ knocks it out of the Park!!! I did the rib tips and they were awesome!! the smokey flavor, meaty ribs and four BBQ sauce to choose from. Can't wait till I am back that way so I can try their Pulled Pork, Brisket or slab of ribs....yum!!!
Well simple amazing!!!, u can tell for the long line of cars ordering. Ribs, pulled pork, coleslaw, potato salad, the vinaigrette, can't tell how juice and flavourful the food is , a 6 star should be giving, and the prices are reasonable. No pics ate all way too fast.
