This place was great ! We were visiting from out of town and our waiter and possibly the owner? Was extremely attentive and nice, he even gave us baklava on the house for dessert and to go. We enjoyed our food. I personally never tried Mediterranean food before and was happy I did and the prices were reasonable so if you are looking for something different I’d definitely give this place a try.
The food was fantastic. I love to eat foods from different countries and I truly enjoyed it. And they're baklava is amazing! The best part was that there's hamburgers and hot dogs as well. I will be back.
Lamb dishes are tasty and filling. The plates give you a good balance of meat and rice for a good price. Nice staff and delicious food!
Adorable little ma and pa restaurant with GREAT food! I ordered carryout because I'd never heard of this place, but I'd definitely come back and dine in. I had the chicken and gyro lunch special. It was enough food for lunch and dinner later, and it was perfect on a cold day. I also ordered fries (because i'm a fiend for em) and dolmades. Both sides were great. I love their rice! Just subtle lemon flavor and moist and delicious! And the lady and checkout and THE sweetest and most personable ever, and if you're nice to her, maybe she'll give ya a free piece of THE BEST BAKLAVA EVER!
Came here for the first time today and had an amazing experience. The man who served us was very nice! This is an excellent place with great , fresh food. Had a appetizer and main course for around $12 and even had leftovers. Papa Marcos is a gem in Waukegan and I’ll be stopping here everytime I’m near by!

We always look for non chain restaurants when traveling and eating out. We were in the area for a long weekend and read the great reviews so we had to try Papa Marco’s. The food was amazing and the owner was so friendly and nice. The food and service made such an impression on us that we came back the next day for lunch! I got the veggie plate both times…and I am not a vegetarian:-)
Love this mom and pop shop. They always treat my family with care. Don't forget to add a baklava for dessert
Dined here with my husband and in-laws. The owners are great and accommodating. I like what they did with the restaurant extension. Food came out fast and it was decent, but I just got back from Greece so I may be a bit spoiled. We had the hummus, chicken shawarma, and lamb kabob. The pita bread came out individually wrapped in plastic bags so it didn’t taste fresh or homemade. I love fresh hot pita so that was a miss for me. The hummus and main dishes were good, though.
This is a very nice place. Everything was fresh and delicious. I specially loved size portions. I definitely will be back.
