I really hate to do this to a hometown classic, but WOW, what a let down. Came in yesterday (4/26) for the first time in well over 20 years. This place use to have phenomenal pizza but has really gone to the gutter. Ordered a sausage, mushroom, and giardinera pizza. Waited over 30 minutes for it to cook and was ok with that because I was expecting a homemade pie. This was not the case at all. I was clearly brought a frozen sausage pizza that they added mushrooms, giardinera, and extra cheese to cook evenly. Literally the biggest disappointment I’ve had in such a long time. I will never order again. Great place if you want a beer and appetizer but so is almost every other bar. All the guys sitting at the bar were creepy as hell too. The servers were at least really nice.

I've eaten Double D's Pizza for as long as I can remember, and I have to say it's only gotten better! Just ordered a large thin crust cheese, sausage, onion, mushroom the other night and it was perfect. I never say what I don't mean, kudos for making a great pizza!

Ordered takeout of their Double Decker pizza and it did not disappoint. Beware though it's a lot of cheese but the flavor is amazing. We got plain cheese, I'm not a fan of their vegetables on the pizza. Friendly wait staff on the phone and when I went to pickup.
2 kids and I shared a large pizza while biking around the city. Frankly, I didn't expect much but was pleasantly surprised. Pizza had a nice crust, both crisp and chewy. Plenty of sauce that was not a sweet as usual and enough cheese to satisfy my kids as well. Will definitely go back again.
Really love this place! This is one of the first spots I was introduced to after moving to the area and I am so glad. Food is great, service is even better! The menu is very diverse so there is something for anyone and everyone. We are anxiously awaiting the opportunity to actually sit here & hang out again, once the restaurants are allowed to reopen! Until then we will utilize the take out option! Highly recommend ?
