Enjoyed every visit to the Vernon Hills location for many years. After attending a wake in the middle of the week with very little options for a late night dinner, we were able to get a table (open until 10 pm). With various changes of hours in many restaurants due to covid, this Olive Garden was the perfect spot. Our favorite staff member, Christopher, just happened to take a shift that night! The food was warm and fresh with salad and breadsticks unlimited...perfect comfort food. Per the usual, the service was 5 ?!
Very disappointed. I understand there is a pandemic but service was awful. My husband ordered a steak that came out raw(still mooing) and my food came out cold. It took 30min to get a glass of wine and never checked on refills. It wasn't even that busy. This location has gone downhill.
My husband and I received a gift card for Christmas so we decided to treat ourselves tonight. We had a nice dinner (I’d give it 4 stars because our sides of fettuccine alfredo were luke warm at best), but our server made the experience a 5 STAR ONE. Mary was awesome, personable and attentive. She’s one of the best servers we’ve had in a long time. Thank you Mary!
Love their salad, minestrone soup and fresh bread sticks with marinara and Alfredo sauce. Their cheese ravioli, Lasagna fritta is very yummy.
I grew up in Vernon Hills and have been here probably two dozen times.If you like pasta, soup and breadsticks at a reasonable price, it will meet the mark. Depending on time of day, you can expect to wait up to 30-40 min during dinner rush on weekends.Overall good food, clean, and reasonable service. The central areas can be quite loud during parties, and there are other better pasta places nearby, however, a bit more expensive.
If you are lucky enough to get Brian as your server, you will have an amazing dining experience! A positive attitude goes a long way in the service industry. Our food was very good and Brian was very attentive. We had a great dinner at this location and would definitely go back!
Olive Garden in Vernon Hills is horrible. I placed an online order that I needed delayed. I called the restaurant. Took 8 minutes to get through. They still prepared my order right away rather than delaying. Thus it sat for 2 hours.
The staff was friendly and the food was good, but we could tell they were short staffed. The manager was playing host and seating people, and it took longer than usual for our food to come. Our server, Tanner, was so apologetic and bent over backwards to make things right. We felt bad for him. Luckily, we had no place to be, and the trivia game at the table kept our grandson happy and engaged - along with the endless breadsticks. All in all, still an enjoyable evening.
Went with a coworker for lunch. Wait time was 20 minutes. They let us sit at bar for quick lunch.Bartender was very nice and server us quockly
