Terrible manager at vernon hills restaurant i do t recommend going to that restaurant very mean he said u put food on floor and u did not wait to be seated and we could not pull down shade was too sunny
We placed an on line order Thursday for Sunday pick up for Easter dinner like we did last year. They call on Saturday at 12 pm to say they are closed. 1. Fix your on line system to not take orders if closed. 2. If mistake? Call that day or day after? Their management of this great restaurant has gone drastically down hill. To the manger: if it’s too hard to be organized, and even nice? Then quit. Best time to find another job.
We have tried dining in at Maciano’s twice during the last month due to good reviews. The food is fine, but have been disappointed in the service both times. The pizza took over an hour to come out after we ordered, and the restaurant was not busy. Gave it a second chance hoping they had an off night, but no better the second time.
The only thing I have ordered here is GLUTEN FREE pizza. Normally I order cheese only, which I loved.One time I decided to splurge and ordered bacon and onion, one of my favorite combos. Awful!!! The bacon was on top, must have been cheap... Terrible flavor and soggy hunks. The onions were under the cheese in BIG slices. Next time I guess I will have to specify where to put and how to chop ingredients. Skip the bacon. I'll stick with the plain cheese otherwise.One day I would like to try a dinner dish with the gluten free noodles. By the way, I don't understand why restaurants only use mostacolli. Gluten free comes in the othershapes. Makes us gluten free people think we're eating the real thing!
Ordered a half pepperoni and half sausage pizza with the pepperoni on top over the phone and was told the pepperoni is always on top of the cheese.Opened the box at home and the pepperoni was not on top but under the cheese as shown in the picture.The food is great, but mistakes happen every time I order takeout.No problems when dining in.
Hands down, one of the best pizza I've ever had! The sauce was amazing, the crust light and fresh, not greasy, and quality ingredients! Highly recommend!
Hands down one of the best restaurants in Vernon Hills! Our favorite go to on Wednesday's for half off bottles of wine. Amazing pizza with a crispy crust, pasta that never disappoints, and chicken limone to die for. Top it off with the most amazing staff and service. It is for sure worth the visit!!Don't forget to order the tiramisu- they have one of the best!
Was in town passing thru and stopped in because of high ratings,they are justified. Pizza was very good atmosphere pleasant. We had a table for eight. Had to wait 45mins because we ordered deep dish and a stuffed pizzas. I liked the chicago style 4 meat deep dish best with fresh chunky sauce on top,, Stuffed pizza was liked by others. Overall a nice experience. Will be back if in area again.

LOVE this place! Their food is excellent and you can’t really go wrong with anything on the menu. It’s just consistently great and I don’t have enough good things to say about this place. My husband and I regularly order from Macianos. So glad this place is so close to our home!
