In the modern world of fancy coffee beverages whether hot or cold, Starbucks seems to come to most people's minds but in the end it really is what you like.I actually started drinking cold canned coffee at the age of 9 growing up a US navy brat in Yokosuka, Japan. I arrive in the states in Nov. '87 and walk up to the nearest coffee shop at O'Hare airport and ask for iced coffee; they haven't a clue what the heck I'm talking about.Anyways I've always wondered if there's certain people out there that drink Starbucks because they actually like the taste or is it a status thing being if you hang around the popular coffee shop then you've got class.I do stop in from time to time at a Starbucks if in the mood for something specific or if one of my family requests to stop at a location.While browsing Hawthorne I rarely stop for coffee whether iced or hot but indeed usually end up at Chill Bubble Tea.Gloria Jean's and I date back to the early 90s when Gurnee Mills opened which was the first time I heard of GJs. Popped in & out of there a few times over the years and sadly they left the mall guessing maybe.....15 years ago?If they make a delicious quality coffee drink such as a macchiato, espresso, frappé type or whatever it is you love then it doesn't matter who it is whether Starbucks, Gloria Jean's, Caribou, Dutch Bros, Hansa Roasters, etc. Remember, it's what YOU like.Stopped in not long ago and got a Mint Chocolate Bomb I think it was called, awesome! Venue was clean, pricing seemed reasonable and customer service was excellent.

Loved the Mocha blended drink I got today! Went with my friends and they don’t like coffee and they tried it and it was amazing! They loved it and so did I. Highly recommend going :)
Waiting is a issue. The worker was rude unprofessional and irrational. Shouted out obscenities. I would never shop there with all the other options! SHOP WERE YOU ARE APPRECIATED!
The kiddos and I were doing the glow golf again to get outside the house and we stopped here on our walk around the mall.They have what they call fruit chillers which is basically a smoothie, but I ordered a strawberry/banana and for the money it was very large. I really enjoyed it and would definitely have this again if there was one by our house. We didn't try anything else but when we're back in the area will for sure try something else.
I lovedddddd the hot chocolate!!!!!!! The gentleman who did my drink. Was the sweetest, kindest person ever met. He took his time making my drinks and they were the BEST! Coming back for sure!
Ordered a pumpkin spice latte which turned out to be too sweet. When I told him it’s too sweet. He said that’s how their pumpkin spice latte is. Well, I know not to get my pumpkin spice latte here. He offered to add an espresso shot without charge which is a kind gesture but it was still too sweet. I ended up not drinking it. Not coming back.
Very clean and has a great atmosphere. The coffee is very good and doesn't take too long to be made.
