Figured I would try the express since the main Durban’s in Tinley closed down. I placed an on line order. I went to pick up and they never received my order. The women behind the counter was very rude and said I should have called. She basically blamed me for her not checking her system. I went to my car to get my phone to show her the confirmation and when I walked back in she said my order just came in and she never confirmed it so I shouldn’t have a confirmation, which I did. I asked if she could see the time I ordered and she said no. On her iPad it clearly stated the time the order was placed, which was 40 minutes earlier. I understand that mistakes happen, especially when you are busy, however it was the attitude I received that warrants the 1 star review
Best wings in town….gotta try ¢0.50 wing Thursdays & Half price Pizza Mondays! Happy that Durbin’s is still in the tinley area after the main tinley location closed. A lot of the same familiar faces with a really nice high-end, clean & new facility. I definitely recommend the food and the machines honestly pay out pretty well too.
Love the sausage and mushroom pizza just a little to many mushrooms but, awesome. Rebecca is the most caring, friendly, outgoing bartender I've dealt with at Durbins. Everyone else is awesome as well. Becca will go out of her way to make the drinker's happy. Couldn't ask for better service out of a waitress or bartender! Sorry to hear you guy's are closing, love the place. Wish you guy's could come up with a land, rent agreement.
Came here after a day in Indiana. the service here was amazing they were willing to explain menu items and super kind and helpful. The food is so yummy definitely worth the price.
Unfortunately we went in tonight, my wife, daughter and I, on St. Patrick’s Day figuring on having some corned beef sandwiches. The staff seemed to be a bit of a mess, no big we figured, it’s busy(ish). Placed our order, hostess/waitress said the kitchen was a bit behind, again, not a big deal.We were seated around a quarter til 6, placed our order for some appetizers, two corned beef sandwiches and a Reuben within 15 minutes or so. At 8:00 we finally told the waitress to forget it, we literally saw other people who came in after us getting food…. Sorry to say, I am in here at least once a month with a group and may not go back. My wife and daughter did not get their sandwiches tonight, I feel bad and it’s not even my fault. Happy St. Patrick’s Day… ?
We attended a luncheon there after a memorial service. Kinda disappointed with most of the food. Each course was all very bland and basic. The beef was the best tasting choice of the entrees. The pictures of soft drinks were all watered down as well and those came from their bar. Overall experience was mediocre!
On Monday Jan. 31st I made an order for mozzarella sticks, quesadillas, a burger with only ketchup and mustard, and a half slab of ribs. Which costs me $46.08. When my food finally got here it was absolutely awful! The ribs were overcooked, small, and tough. The BBQ sauce tasted like it had medicine in it. My son's burger had absolutely NOTHING on it. Oh! But we were lucky enough to get a few packets of ketchup. The burger was completely burnt and the bread was so chewy. Not only that, but they forgot my mozzarella sticks. When I called and told them they asked me did I want a credit or did I want them sent out. I asked her please send them out. I never received them. The most horrible meal ever! Unfortunately I have back and knee problems. Which prevented me from going up to the establishment and complaining for a refund! I wouldn't order an empty paper bag from this place! Sorry. Not sorry. Never again!UPDATE:About 5 minutes ago, my mozzarella sticks came. Which were hard and cold. Thanks. I appreciate it. ????Update #2:Today is February 1st at 5:13pm CST. The owner told me to call. After calling I was told the owner was not in. And that my number would be written down for when the owner comes in. I was contacted maybe 10 to 15 minutes ago. I'm sure the owner didn't disappear that fast. I would like a full refund for who ever is reading from this establishment. We never even finished our food because everything was so bad.
After not coming in for a few years but with having memories of decent sandwiches, we left with no plans to return. My Specialty sandwich of sausage patty with sauce and cheese on garlic roll was way overcooked, burnt on one side, with a little sauce peeking out from under melted cheese. It was quite dry and needed more sauce, maybe green peppers or mushrooms to liven it up. Nothing was offered so I expected it would be made just right being listed as one of their featured plates. Wifes Reuben was equally boring, but large. The fries we each had were just about the cheapest kind they can serve. They can do better.
Both my wife and myself ordered the Durban Special. It was a hand pressed Italian sausage sandwich on garlic bread. It was very good. We had never been there before so we ordered a small pizza just to see how good it was. The pizza was average. I gave it a 7.1 on onebite. Overall decent neighborhood spot.
Excellent food with huge portions. Great music - there during a live performance.Downers: they do not sell liquor by the bottle and my beer bottle was not sealed - prefer to open my own so I know I am the only user.
