Al's beef is by far one of the best Italian beef restaurants in greater Chicagoland. This location delivers the exact same quality, service, and flavor as the original location in the city.

I was out in the burbs and hangry and I happened to drive by this place. I'd been to the Al's downtown and was hoping for the same great food and this one did not disappoint! The meal came out fast, the fries were hot and the beef was spot on. I was about to take it to go but was happy I sat down as a dipped beef is the least car-friendly food around!
We want the day after Thanksgiving. We tried to call first, but they didn't answer the phone. We decided to take a chance and they were open. The guy that seemed to be in charge said that the were crazy busy, which was surprising as there was only one other person there. The phone rand while we were there and he didn't answer then either. As it was going to be at least 30 minutes before we ate, we wanted to dip them at home. They charged us a lot more for that, esp. since they didn't give more juice than we would have had if they were dipped there. It felt like they didn't want any business, and didn't care if we were there or not. The guy in charge was simply rude. I won't be back. For what we paid, there were other and, in my opinion, far better options that do appreciate our business.
Honestly the best Italian beef around, there is no comparison. The sandwich might be messy but the flavors are worth it. Afterwards your tastebuds will be partying in your mouth.
I always love my big beef over at Al's with mozzarella and jardiniere. And I always ask for a half boat tamale with chili beans onions and cheese. The staff is very friendly kind and courteous
Italian beef was really good the French fries were hot and fresh and and they are handmade which is a plus. Overall it was a delicious Italian beef!!!
I checked this place out. Typical American fast food. Very nice service. I took Al's old Chicago chopped salad. Light lunch style lettuce. It was tasty. Cheap, clean, fast. Next time I will pop in to try famous Chicago’s #1 Italian Beef.

Dinners, Drive-ins and dives worthy??I've been dining driving and diving at al's beef for about 2 decades now, much like my first experience today was 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I was greeted with a warm greeting felt right at home or like I was at fine dinner, at the suggestion of the very friendly staff I had a original al's beef with sweet and hot peppers with cheese and was instantly tooken on a ride back in time when I was a kid and I wentTo university village or old Italy as the locals like to call it, to say the least it was fantastically scrumptious lol A must have when in the area! Everything is prepared fresh. Beef sandwiches seasoned just right and melts in your mouth. Fresh cut fries are the best! Highly recommended for the best Italian Beef in the Chicagoland area. No matter the location, they are consistent!!!
