Food very little flavor. Very limited menu. Slow service even though the place was empty
They try so hard. Consistently good food. Generous portions. Good service. Nice paper. Just to the place always needs a good cleaning. Shades and flies on the windows and the floor is always littered. Needs an update when things get better after a Corona virus passes. A great value.
Mixed reviews on n this one. My husband was very happy with his dinner. I, on the other hand, was disappointed. My rotisserie chicken was over seasoned and over cooked. But, the fried mozzarella was very good and the bread was very tasty. The biggest disappointment, though, were the "facilities". Both men's and women's washrooms were as if nobody had cleaned them in a very long time. Minimal or no toilet paper in each stall, minimal or no paper towels available, and little or no hand soap. And staff moved throughout the patrons' tables without masks.The service provided was well intended, but not without hiccups. I don't know if The Lodge has gone through a change in management since I was there last, but clearly Covid-19 has taken a toll on their operations.
Well I thought since I was looking forward to have a nice dinner since it's been a while. Fish fry was good and service was good. Since the the state of Illinois is allowing outdoor dining due to phase 4 none of the staff was wearing facial masks. Don't think I will be there until they get it right.
Used to love coming here but something (or someone) has changed. Hoping they pull it back together soon because it's a great local place. Fire Stevie D, he's paying for fake Google reviews.
I personally love coming here! The food is Incredibly delicious! And the atmosphere is very calming and relaxing. The fire in the front is the cherry in top! You feel like your camping! The Lodge on 64 is definitely in my top 5 favorite restaurants! Friendly staff as well!
The place offers a large range of fresh food. I enjoy dining here. The employees are always helpful, pricing is affordable and the spot is always clean.
