Went on fish Friday but decided on the grilled salmon. It was too dry to swallow. I tried to be polite and not complained. The server voluntarily brought some grilled cod. She may have been the manager, nevertheless the less she was accommodating. The cod was better but must have been soaked in Olive Oil because it was greasy. The Brussel Sprout were really tasty. The servers were very nice and attentive. I appreciated the atmosphere overall not the fish. I'll go back again just to make sure it wasn't just an off day because the staff were amazing.
My husband and I have attempted to go here a few times this year and last year and have had the same experience every time. There is no sign indicating whether to seat yourself on the patio or wait to be seated. We stood at the entry for a few minutes waiting to see if a waitress would seat us. A waitress saw us and just stared at us from across the patio, so we went over to an open table that was pushed near a seated table. I asked the waitress if the table was open, or if the seated party was holding it for more people to come. She just stared at us and didn’t say anything. I’ve never had an experience like this anywhere else, it is truly bizarre. It shouldn’t be so hard to get a seat. We just walked away and went somewhere else instead.
Fantastic food, (recommend the fried chicken) Great staff, all around perfect!
I had the Denver omelette, which was very good. The seafood gumbo was also good. The side of o-rings was huge and tasty. While the waitress was good, the odd thing was that for a table of 6 our meals came to the table about 5 minutes apart. Not together.
Great service, good music. The brisket was ok. I will likely avoid it next time and go for a burger instead.
First time going there, was packed full of regulars and barely got recognized by the bartender. She seemed annoyed at us being there. Food wasn’t the best but wasn’t the worst, fries were cold, chicken tenders were dry. Drinks were decent. Definitely won’t be coming back though.

This is a popular place for all you can eat Friday fish as you can get the fish healthily baked or fried if you like with lemon pepper and get mashed potatoes or fries and homemade coleslaw. Their service has always been good, even if they're busy which is their norm. I was disappinted to find out their perch dinner price went up significantly in price, so I'll go less often now unfortunately. You should try them sometime soon and call and make a reservation for bar dining or their front room dining as either one is nice. They ysually have seating avaliable, but a reservation can be more convenient for your dining.
The service here is phenomenal! When I walk in Beth knows what I want to drink and has it ready plus the food is some of the best in st charles!!!
