This place has gone downhill big time. Or when the owner is away, the staff doesn't care.I took my wife there for our anniversary. We waited 40+ minutes to even give our dinner order, AFTER we had our mediocre baked french onion soups. The shrimp dejonge dinner had 5 pieces of shrimp. Just like the appetizer, just $15 more because it's served with COLD vegetables that should have been hot. Had ZERO bread crumbs and the shrimp had a fishy, not so fresh taste. My wife's steak was waaaay overcooked, yet her mashed potatoes were literally cold the moment it was served. The waitress forgot her salad entirely. Then had the nerve to charge me for 2 cocktails after she removed my 2nd drink before I was even half way done. I never leave bad tips. Tonight I did. This is the first time I left there with uneaten food that I did not take home. Now here's the funny part. I ordered Absolute on the rocks. They charged me a dollar for the rocks! There are much better restaurants in the area than this expensive disappointment has become.Never again. Ever.

Every time we come here, we are never disappointed. It's like stepping into another world filled with eye catching decor around every corner, excellent hospitality and decadent food.

Disappointing. Sat at the bar, ordered the Salmon special that comes with soup or salad. She said, soup or salad? so I looked real quick and said French onion. Then I was charge 12.00 for the soup. I asked if that was right and she said, oh that’s only the house soup.2 questions.1. Why didn’t I get told that when I ordered it?2. Wouldn’t it be appropriate to also offer the soup that was included to go since I paid for it?Unfortunate. I literally ate here 6 times in 1 month through COVID because they were the only ones open. Not sure what happened on this visit. I paid for everything and got out. Order carefully here.

Great atmosphere & Great food!

Amazing experience, we have eaten here for many years(20 plus) but I never go out on a holiday and was so surprised that service and food were not sacrificed due to the heavy volume of patrons. I will do this next year as well. We also had a party of 6 which is not easy! Always had a drink and never missed a beat thank you! Peeptini’s are the best!

Go there on our anniversary every year. The food was always outstanding. But this year my food was cold, told the waitress and instead of having it heated up she offered more sauce. I would give this visit a 1.

Charming place, good food, and very good service. Just disappointed that while most restaurants in St. Charles are honoring the 15% discount during Restaurant Week, St. Charles Place did not. Just two items on the menu. It wasn't abundantly clear until we got our check, and then nobody was there who could do anything about it. Not even a compromise was offered - just a "sorry" and "call back tomorrow." Really? I'll go elsewhere for now - didn't feel like they felt our future business was desired.

A great spot in the west suburbs. Whether you're going for drinks and apps or dinner, you won't be disappointed.

In order to make a reservation for dinner on Christmas Eve, I had to give a credit card # over the phone. Not sure how securely the reservation book is guarded, but coincidentally, the same credit card # was used to fraudulently reserve a room at a hotel in Chicago a few weeks later. I very rarely use this credit card and thought it was an especially odd coincidence that the fraud was local. It would be more comforting and secure for guests if the entire reservation process was handled electronically rather than pen and paper. It's 2022!In terms of the restaurant, it's nice. Has a throwback, supper-club feel, the service was good, the food was good. We had a nice time overall. It was our first time there. It's classy but not overdone. It made for a nice Christmas Eve. We were the first seating at 4:30 PM and the restaurant was welcoming and festively decorated. Overall we were impressed with how hard everyone worked to make the evening special.

A very dark environment and a bit dated. Bartender was personable and liked her job! Martini was good. Beer selection very limited. Coconut shrimp were meaty with a great raspberry wasabi dressing. My filet was cooked properly at medium but my wife’s ribeye had to go back being undercooked. Sides were ok but basic. Waitress brought a complimentary dessert for the error which was nice. Never got the waitress name but she got the job done. I’d go back for the good steaks we had. A fairly expensive meal.
