We had frequented Mr Hibachi when they were at a much smaller spot in Elgin. They grew up and out of that location and moved to St Charles. Last night was our first trip to the new locale. The restaurant is big, open and somewhat airy. We were looking for sushi but they also had a good amount of customers at the hibachi tables. We ordered the very very good non-traditional Crab Rangoon and a few rolls. All was excellent and served pretty fast. The only downside at Mr Hibachi is as of May '22 they do not yet have a liquor license. Good experience here, we'll DEFINITELY be back.
This place hands down was the best sushi I've had in St. Charles! The service here was exceptional and the green tea was awesome! The sushi was sooo good and the prices for dining in were 15% off! Talk about great food and a great deal! I will definitely be visiting this place very often and hope to persuade others to visit this gem as well! Go and see for yourself!
Placed a fairly large online order for pickup and it wasn't ready at the time they said it would be. Was told to wait at the sushi bar. Ended up being a 45 min. wait for my food. Wasn't even offered a glass of water or even a chance to order a drink while I sat at the bar. The host apologized, but didn't offer any discounts, coupons, or add on for the inconvenience. At the end, food was nothing to praise either. Though ingredients were fresh, spicy food wasn't spicy and flavor was subpar.
Great service in a clean and open airy environment. Modern and classic. Lots of hibachi tables. Wonderful service. Attention to detail. Very good prices and customizable menu. Extensive menu. Excellent sushi. The best service imaginable. Parvaneh made our lunch incredible!
Catering was phenomenal. Yummy and presentation was on point. Had a sushi boat too, great hit to any party! Highly recommend.
So happy to have this location say as a Hibachi & Sushi restaurant!! Under new ownership and WOW we we blown away with how delicious everything was! Spring rolls fresh and delicious. Sushi spot on and the creative rolls, it’s a very large menu. And the cook top, we highly recommend asking for Victor! This will be our weekly visit once again. So adorable and a perfect night out!!!!!
My boyfriend and I visited to celebrate our anniversary and wow was it a good choice. Very easy getting a reservation and everyone was incredibly friendly and personable. When you walk in there's about 6 hibachi tables, a sushi bar, and a small sushi eating area. Very quaint which is nice because some places can be a maze finding your way around. Not sure if they opened recently since they didn't have alcohol but we didn't mind. Our server took excellent care of us and we definitely felt spoiled. We opted out of sushi originally because we didn't want to get too much food but our server insisted on trying a sushi roll. I think he gave us the Godzilla roll and it was super yummy. It was just smothered with shredded crab and was stuffed with cream cheese and tempura shrimp. The experience was great our chef was great although we felt bad he kept getting obviously seasoned hibachi goers that were over the thrill of it lol. We also got dessert and it was a brownie with marshmallow on top. My only disappointment was the amount of veggie tempura we got. I expected more for the flat price of $6 for any type of tempura but that's just me. Still all around delicious. Steak was very tender, shrimp was delicious and cooked well. All the sauces were delicious. Very standard hibachi experience. As former industry people we enjoyed the show and enjoyed watching all the moving parts. Lots of teamwork and efficiency going on. Always someone checking on you, refills, boxes, etc. Very smooth and efficient. Everything was timed out very nicely. We got there around 5:30 and left around 7 so very good timing. We felt very special and very spoiled. Thank you for making our day that much better. Definitely recommend for celebrating or just dinner. The food got us in the door but the experience is what we will keep coming back for.
Went to Mr. Hibachi for lunch. Not only was the service excellent, the food was even better. Wasn't very busy around lunch time and we were seated immediately. Our server was very polite and she checked on us every so often. Great value for so much delicious food. The hibachi lunch special is terrific. Steak was tasty and frankly, so was everything else. Sushi roll came out quick and was perfect. Will be back!
Will be a repeat customer, service was great- staff was so kind and personable. Sushi, chicken, steak was all so good! Our group left full and happy- we wish we had left room for dessert!
