Best bar in town, fantastic tacos as well!!!
Perfect patio experience with top notch tacos & margs!!! ☀️???
Really like this place but today's experience service was terrible and food was not like we had in recent times... steak over cooked veggies soggy and old..forgot to bring sides and still never got them..brought a desert menu but never came back to ask if we wanted any..had to get up and get our own refills and get our bill terrible.....
Would surely recommend eating here. Exceptional mood, flavorful dishes, fantastic customer service. Kudos.
Excellent food and service. The food is beautiful and tasty! So happy to live nearby this gem
Enchiladas suizas were amazing! I will dream about the sauce on it.
I'd love to like/love this place but it didn't happen during the night we visited. We're looking for a place for dinner around the area but didn't really want to go to a fast food restaurant or chain restaurant. We'd like to support local and we try to do so everywhere we go.We "Yelped" and saw Lupita's Cocina. Go Mexican or go Italian (Maciano's)?We're closer to Lupita's so I made the decision to go to Lupita's.When we arrived, sign's not good because the parking lot is empty and when we parked in front of the entrance, we noticed no one's dining inside and someone's already cleaning the floor. We're apprehensive but decided to go in and see if they're still open. The person who's cleaning the floor greeted us and welcomed us. He's very enthusiastic. Full of energy. We sat at the corner table near the exit/entrance.The place is nice inside. The decor, the lighting, the tables, etc.. It all looks good. Pretty nice place. For starters, we're served chips & salsa. For a nice place, the chips should've been served warm and crispy and placed in a nice container. The salsa should've been placed in a nicer container. Instead, the chips tasted and felt like it came from a not freshly opened bag. The salsa tasted and gave me impression it came from a cheap jar of salsa. Not good.A nice looking restaurant like Lupita's must do better.I've been to other less nice looking place and their chips and salsa's much better vs Lupita's.We ordered Queso Fundido. It's good. We're served with 4, small pieces of tortillas. There's 4 of us. We're hungry. It's not enough so we ordered some more tortillas. It may be their way of serving but it feels not generous. Not good.I ordered the Tampiquena. My wife and daughter shared a plate of 4 tacos. Our son ordered a plate of 4 tacos. My family liked the tacos. They said they're good. Sides, however, are extra. They decided not to get any.The skirt steak I was served was cooked medium. Just the way I like it for a skirt steak. However, I wasn't asked how I'd like my steak when the wait person took my order. Good thing I like medium. If my wife ordered the same thing and she's served medium, she'll have the wait person take it back. My wife prefers well done.I wanted rice with my dish. The wait person said my dish doesn't come with rice but he can certainly get me some.Additional $4 for a side of rice. ?My wife and our daughter also ordered two drinks. Both said the drinks were just alright.I tasted their drinks. They're not wrong. The drinks tasted cheap. Definitely not enough alcohol in it. The alcohol in it tasted very faint. They didn't order another round when the wait person asked. As a family, we agreed we're not going to dine @ Lupita's again. The bill's pretty pricey for what we're served. We know of other Mexican restaurants who's better food and the price is right. Please try Lupita's for yourself and make your own decision/observation.I wrote about our experience. Maybe your experience will be different from ours.#Peace.
Service was very good but food was flavorless. Chips were store bought and the salsa was like tomato sauce. Very disappointed ☹️
Great service. Very pleasant staff. The restaurant was clean - I’d recommend ???
Not a single member of the staff was masked during the Illinois mandate. If they're willing to break this simple rule, who knows what other health violations they're willing to commit?
