I’ve been here a few times. Solid Mexican food for a great price especially for this town. The staff is nice and welcoming.
Giving this two stars after my latest visit to this site for carryout. The inside is dirty and greasy and not what I expect for this town. I ordered a few tacos to go and it took about 15 minutes to make. Once I completed my order the woman behind the counter was friendly. Probably won't come back until they update.
After driving past this little place hundreds of times for the past several years, we finally decided stop there for lunch on Wednesday.They have a very large selection on their menu board, and lady working at the counter was very helpful when we were deciding what we would like.We ultimately decided on 2 chicken tamales à la carte for each of us, as opposed to having full meals.They were delicious, served wrapped in corn husks as they should be; along with complimentary chips and salsa.The prices were very fair also. We enjoyed this place immensely and will definitely return.Parking: Ample parking in the back.
Excellent food. I arrived with the lunch crowd at noon and it took 20 mins for my order to be ready, but i loved it. Lots of outdoor seating; the indoor space is small but clean.
Very hit or miss (usually a miss on carry out), here’s todays charred torta. I won’t be going back
El Rayo Burritos Guacamole is a great little restaurant on Main St St Charles. The menu is extensive and consistently good. The prices are reasonable, especially the tacos. I highly recommend you stop in whenever you are in the mood for Mexican food.

Best guacamole around. I have yet to be disappointed. My order: ground beef burrito with everything except lettuce. I add extra cilantro and rice. It's my favorite, I honestly don't even go anywhere else anymore. Highly recommended.
