Walked with my family to have a nice treat. Unfortunately only to find out their dine in area and walk up window was closed... Why would you waste an opportunity to serve walkup customers on such a nice day! It's probably a blessing in disguise as the wait is often long and the staff is normally rude. Don't waste your time with this location... St Charles has many other great options for ice cream (with friendly staff and open dine in areas!)
This is the worst DQ I’ve ever been to. My biggest gripe is they close the grill whenever they feel like it. Often I’ll go there for food and wait in the drive-thru for 20 minutes only to find out their kitchen is closed. So I ask them what time does it close. They say 8:30. Next time I go it’s closed again. They said it closed at 7. On top of that I can’t even call to ask if the kitchen is open before I waste 30 minutes of driving and sitting in line because they don’t ever answer the phone. I used to manage a DQ. It’s not that hard to have one person on each shift trained on the grill and soft serve to float between the two as the business fluctuates. Management, as a loyal & frequent customer I ask you to please step up your game and show us that your customers matter.
Employees where rude. expected to pay for a cone that was smaller then a small cone. more worried about making money then customer service. Ober Weis gave me a bigger cone and its 50 cents cheaper . Plus better qualityUpdate:Kinda of Funny that the owner wants me to give them another try when she was rude and unprofessional.
St. Charles Dairy Queen was sadly a huge disappointment. The Dairy Queens where we used to live are well known for their delicious lunches and dinners that their drive thrus were always long, but always moving. They were a delicious treat for our own family that we were excited to find 1 location in this area that isn't "Treat Only". Sadly, we found this location just isn't worth the money. They made all 3 Blizzards incorrectly, the fries were cold, and the burgers were bland. Not 1 thing we ordered was made correctly. Our family will just have to venture to another Dairy Queen location for the good food we experienced at Dairy Queens in another state.
Ordered a blizzard and milkshake for 10 minutes in line for them to tell me they didn't understand my order.
Owners are usually there. Quality is good. And they are generous. And prices are what you expect.

The only Dairy Queen location around that uses the mobile app. You can order here for your mobile app orders none of the other Dairy Queens around allow mobile orders but they usually still will honor the mobile coupons but it's still not guaranteed. This place first of all smells amazing! Lol the ice cream from Dairy Queen is the best around it really doesn't matter which location all of the local ones I've visited are great and this one is no exception the employees are super friendly and the ice cream is always made perfectly and super thick the classic Dairy queen style. The mobile app always sends me notifications with great deals like just yesterday I cashed in a 2 for 3$ small shake they are normally over 3$ just for 1 shake. For my bday they always send me bogo blizzard or 3$ off cake coupons every year. I haven't had the food much but I will update once I give it a try. This location is super busy tho but all the local ones are so just expect that their may be a line and possibly no inside the store access or order pick up right now. But if you order inside pick up or window and not sure just go to drive thru and ask for your order there they don't mind handing it to you at the window but again just expect a wait. But. It's worth it... :) Enjoy!!
