The atmosphere is very bad. The workers are highly inappropriate with their female customers, straight up harassment. Would not recommend at all, extremely unprofessional.
I miss this place. Everytime I come back home to the 217 I eat here. Columbus Ohio has nothing on PTs. Not even the mom and pops places. I have tried 1000 places i just gave up. I don’t even BBQ at all unless it’s PTS.
I went today to get a whole slab of ribs and as usual, they are wonderful, smoky, and tender. I've been patronizing this establishment since the 90's and I am a die hard fan.
Everytime we travel to springfield we stop here! Only place we know in central illinois you can get rib tips and not just full ribs!!!

We went for the first time. The “rib tips” are just “ribs chopped up” that’s not rib tips. They were very fatty rib chunks.So we also got some chicken and we waited for 35 minutes and the food was cold. Everything! Why did I have to wait so long for cold food ? The chicken was from the day before I think, they warmed it but not enough. The bbq beans were good though. I didn’t care for the cold bbq I won’t be going back. It was a waste of time and money.
Visit frequently, love their rib tips. Yesterday seemed cut differently & a lil tougher than usual... still edible & love the bbq sauce...
Smoked and barbecue meats that will have you eating even if you're full. Smells, looks, and tastes amazing!
