Absolutely the best sub sandwiches in Springfield. These are not your typical subs either. They are 8-10 inches long, twice as wide as a subway sub. And just packed with stuff. But the best part... is the sweet bread. 100% homemade on site. And it's just simply wonderful. I get the baked BLT. You can't go wrong. And it's cheap!
The absolute best sandwich in town. It desperately needs a remodel and some love, since it’s getting to be a bit nasty in there, but the food is awesome.Plus cups with a large drink. Who doesn’t love a Monty’s cup?
These subs are my favorite of any sub shop. The sauce/spice blend is a must. I love the turkey sub on sweet bread. And of course collecting the colorful cups is fun.
Came to Monty's at 7:30 door and online says closes at 8 but after getting to the door realized they were already closed. When I walked up to the door there was a women with glasses and a short haircut that took off to the back.

You can never go wrong with a Gobbler (turkey) sub on fresh baked rye bread. Toss it in the oven and enjoy.
Egg salad very good. Cheesy potato soup was average. Needs ti be a little cleaner.

I should have known when the kid didn’t know what normally comes on a meatball sub. Apparently you need to request sauce with your piece of bread and 4 meatballs. Guess Head West it is going forward
Food was good, service was for sure not and quite honestly the guy at the counter made me extremely uncomfortable. I hadn’t been there before and was trying to understand the menu and he was just very rude, making weird jokes and comments, talking in the second person almost exclusively? Could not wait to get out of there. Thought I would get turned into lunch meat in the back…
