The food is good and made with quality ingredients.The atmosphere leaves a lot to be desired. On the night I visited, more children were in the place than adults.A group of 8 children played outside in the grass screaming and being generally unruly with zero adult supervision. Their parents sat on a patio ignoring them and not caring that they were ruining the atmosphere for everyone else. I guess they are accustomed to their little demons and consider their behavior normal. However the management should have said something. No one should have to deal with that at 9pm at night. The management did nothing.
My husband and I are new to Springfield and we pass by Home Plate all the time. We stopped by tonight and had a great experience. We arrived at 6:00pm on Friday and were seated right away upstairs on the upper deck. Our server greeted us right away and was extremely friendly. We had chicken fingers as an appetizer and they were spectacular: very crunchy with extremely juicy insides. We both had burger and fries and they were excellent. The buns were great (not dry at all) and the burgers were flavorful. The kitchen honored my request for extra pickles generously. We also had the apple crisp and it was divine. We loved sitting on the upper deck and since it faces east, we had plenty of shade as well as a good breeze. We are so glad we stopped by and will come back soon.
They have the best Nashville Tenders in town. Their dusted wings are as good as I've had anywhere. I am also a huge fan of their burgers. What sets this restaurant apart from their competitors is their customer service. Every single time I come here, at least one of the owners comes up and thanks me for coming in. I have been here a minimum of 100 times since they opened 2+ years ago. That is no exaggeration. THEY STILL THANK ME for visiting to this day! I will always support this place.
Recently helped organize a small celebration of life for a Cardinal baseball fan family member. We chose Home Plate as it was totally fitting for all of us. Jeff and his staff were superb and attentive. Food and drinks were great, kids were entertained, we really couldn’t have asked for more. I personally have organized several other lunches there, larger and small groups, and have always had that same level experience. Must be very well managed, as the staff is always happy and friendly. Kudos to all!
If you're looking for a great place to eat and have a drink, well this is it. Clean place, fast service, the food is always great and the beverages are always cold. This price is right and the staff all the way around is excellent. A regular crowd that is friendly and just about any sporting event you want to watch can be seen on one of their many televisions. It's my regular go to for dinner and I've never been disappointed.
Keep on coming back due to the staff.The beer and food are good, but the staff are on point. They are dialed in to what's going on.That pretzel is on point with German PAR.Keep those beers cold for my next visit. CHEERS AND FOOD JOB??
This place was amazing! We were seated quicker than the time qoute! The staff was wonderful! Service was fantastic, food was delicious! It was my Friends daugthers birthday and they gave her a cupcake and sang to her (all their own idea) plus gave the other children we had with us popsicles. They really made us feel welcome! We will be back!
First time here..great service..great atmosphere...servers were very polite and prompt... television's on watched game...good menu variety...
Just like other sports bars noisy. Good food, prices reasonable u get a lot for what u pay. Great service & a lot of help.
This place was great. The owner was very present, helping out as needed around the restaurant which shows a lot about the management here. Food was good, not great. We came here to watch football and drink beer though, not for a nice meal. I got the cheeseburger, lady got the meatball sub. We shared the fried pickles and those were tasty. Their alcohol selection is huge. Guaranteed to have what you like to drink. Huge beer fridge.
