Beautiful evening spent at Curate on the patio listening to live music and chatting with friends. Shared several small plates which were spot on and great cocktails! 5 out of 5
Food was terrific and service was excellent recommended this place highly
Had an exemplary time. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. She answered all our questions and gave appropriate recommendations. My water was never empty. She did a great job at being prompt, yet not clingy. The atmosphere was very nice. Food came out fresh and we never had to wait too long. Drinks were delicious and there many options. I wore a dress, but I saw others in jeans an nice shirts. I liked that different levels/styles could come and eat here. Get the Scallop risotto and a Riesling, they're incredible. The bathroom was very clean and cute.It is pricey considering the portions, but it's perfect for special occasions
Since they opened, this restaurant has been a go to for my friends for a girls outing. The small plates and changing menu make it a fun and new experience every time we go in. Service is incredible every time. The new addition of brunch is also phenomenal, make sure to get a mimosa tower! Although a bit on the expensive side for Springfield, the experience is definitely worth it for a splurge.
Love this place! Highly recommend! Everything I have had from this place has been nothing short of wonderful!! Always something new and unique! The brie is a must!
We were on our final night in Springfield and a little weary from our day, and I was feeling a bit over-fed from all the restaurant fare. We decided to revise our original dinner plans, and TripAdvisor served to identify this as a place with what I wanted--small plates and craft cocktails. I'm going to get my sole negative comment out of the way first. This was a weeknight and the place was not quite packed, but busy--and the noise level was oppresive. Having din in the dining room is so '90s. I wish the proprietors would install some soft surfaces to moderate the din. Every other aspect was great. I started out on their signature cocktail list with a J Bond. This is not the James Bond gin/vodka/Lillet drink called a Vesper, rather a dirty Martini--and I say the mixologist did it superbly, with the right amounts of gin, vermouth, olive brine, and a couple of bleu stuffed olives that were supremely crisp. I followed it with their Gatsby, which combines gin, elde3rflower liqueur, bitters, and champagne--also a winner. Our food choices were as follows. Oven-roasted wildf mushrooms--rather chewier than domestic mushrooms, and flavor-enhanced with a dose of truffle. Patatas Bravs--terrific, a little spicy. Gnocchi Alfredo--light pasta pillows with the sauce as an accent and not a blanket. Escargot--in the shell with a mix of garlic butter and tomato. Service was flawless and the decor is pleasant. Once again TripAdvisor has gifted me.
This was a very good restaurant. The small plates for sharing were well sized and very good. The escargot is top notch. The cocktails were ok but not great and that is what cost them a 5th star. I'll go for one of the wine flights next time we visit.
Had an AMAZING experience here with everything. Jessica, the bartender, did an incredible job balancing a fully packed bar. The food was also incredible. This place would be perfect for a date night or a “treat yourself” kind of night. I love small plates and the way they went about all the dishes was excellent. Highly recommend. Ask for Jessica and order an espresso martini.
First time at curate and it did not disappoint. Staff and our waitress were very kind, attentive and helpful. Food was delish my fav being the goats & greens salad, and mushroom medley! Will be returning to try more menu items & specials!
I have been here several times. Some dishes are wonderful, some dishes are not. The mushrooms tasted fabulous, but the portion was so small for the price ($17.00) The skillet cookie was terrible. The escargot looked great, but tasted flat. Again some dishes are fabulous, some are not. You have to sample all to really know what to order. The French onion soup was so heavy and dark and salty it was practically inedible. The alcohol is overpriced. That said, I still like this restaurant, but you just have to know what to order. I would recommend the fillet and Frites, any of the delicious pasta dishes, and the braised short rib.
