Very rude staff ever since they opened they keep rotating staff no one seems to stay long term except the bald guy behind the counter who may be the owner. This person is the worst no hospitality at all will ruin your whole experience. Don’t even think about asking for extra sauce as they are trying to make money from the sauce meanwhile all you want to do is enjoy the food. The muslim community should really find another place for ramadan/if-tar. Staying away from this place until new ownership. I suggest the Taylor street location super clean and friendly staff also Schaumburg which is the original location but they might be closed. All I know this place needs to be shut down.

Love this place! I go so often the food here tastes fresh, the workers are super nice, and they don't skip out on actually seasoning your food. Me and the family go here to celebrate birthdays, or anniversaries as it's become our favorite restaurant. My go to is the peri fries, with the spinach wrap orrr the rice bowl! You can pick your spice level and its actually spicy unlike other peri peri places!

Great food and great service! The cashier was very hospitable and also provided a great quantity of food.

**!! Stay away from this business Rude Staff!!**Totally disappointed ruined my whole day, this Bald guy on the counter looks like business owner have some mental issues, he don't have any manners, he don't deserve a $1 dollar business from any customer , he should first learn some manners, Never going to this place again, who disrespect the customers who come and give money to by food. His face expressions is like he is giving food for free doing some kind of favor. He need to consult some psychiatrist for his mental health..

The chicken is really good and all the food items taste great. Look out for the prices though. They are incorrect on the menu on here. And instead they are like one and a half times that much. They need to remove the incorrectly priced menus that are posted on here.

EDIT:This location is permanently closed. The owners tried to reopen, but were not able to keep employees, and the kitchen fire was the nail in the coffin. Never recovered after that. This place was my daughter's go to spot for the longest time whenever we were nearby Chicago. It seems ownership has changed. The food this time around was not as good as other times. The peri peri chicken, lamb chops and peri mayo corn were not as flavorful as other times and the signature sauces were watered down. It's sad to see a restaurant going down this path.

Portos is definitely one of my favorite spots in the northern Chicagoland area! I just tried out their new beef ribs offering and was amazed at the flavor and quantity given! I will definitely be returning

Place is spacious and good car parking availability. Fresh made food
