Oh my amazing!! You NEED to get a cake shake, it's heaven in a cup. When you do, get a drink too as it's really tasty but thick! Staff was fantastic, food was amazing. This was the highlight of our trip for me. This is an absolute must stop!
The food here is so good, but the service is always slow, especially if the restaurant is busy. The restaurant is always busy each time I go here. I mostly go in here during lunch and had to wait a long time just to have a burger. I went here recently for lunch again, and just like usual, the restaurant was busy. I have nowhere to go for lunch, so I have no choice but to wait. The food here is truly delicious. Anything I order from their wide menu selection always tastes delicious and filling. I only ordered a double cheeseburger, fries, and a milkshake. Service may be slow, but the staff here are very friendly and helpful. I could see that they were trying to do their best, especially the staff behind the counter. The prices of the food here are also reasonable and worth it for the quality and taste of the food. They also always serve fresh and hot food. The portions are also great, just like the double cheeseburger I ordered, which has a huge portion with juicy and greasy patties, fresh veggies, and, of course, cheesy. The fries are also well-seasoned, golden and crispy. Last but not the least is their milkshake, which I definitely love so much.
Portillo's hot dogs is one of my favorite places to eat. I haven't been in a while so I was looking forward to my meal. Ordered cake shake and bacon double cheeseburger This place has the best milk shake and bacon double cheeseburger I have ever had. It was nice ambient atmosphere to enjoy a meal. The Cake Shake has chunks of delicious chocolate cake on the bottom that you have to dig out with a spoon. And the bacon cheeseburger is so delicious, tasty with just the right amount of kick to awaken all your taste buds. And the staff here is so friendly it was top notch customer service I received from them. Would definitely recommended
The lady who was calling out the order did a fantastic job. They staff was professional and welcoming and the food ( I had got onion rings and a lemon cake) was okay. A lot of people came and went while I dine in with friends so it is definitely a place to go with your friends or family to hang out over a meal most people will enjoy.
Always a great place to visit for a Chicago area fast food whenever we visit the area. Really can't go wrong with anything on the menu and they have their drive through figured out. They were quick, polite, and friendly. If you are visiting the area, this is a place worth checking out even if it is a chain around the area.
My family and I ordered a catering box to go and had some for lunch at the restaurant. My little cousin does like pickled jalapenos in Italian beef sandwiches so put some in my hotdog. I had a bit of my hotdog and felt something was not right. SO I immediately spit it out and saw STEEL STABLES in pickled jalapenos. We went back to register and showed it to Supervisor and Manager Freddo. Manager Freddo offered me another hotdog and nothing else (not even a full refund for our $100s of dollars order. Please take extra precautions to protect yourself and family. Check the food thoroughly before feeding them to your children.
We were a bus of history students that didn't eat for 6 hours or so. We made a stop and there was a very long line, but not a long wait once the food was ordered. I reckon that if it wasn't a bus, we wouldn't have had such a long line to wait in. The food was delicious and it was a decent price.
I was told when I came to Chicago I had to try this place! If nothing else just for their chocolate cake and milkshake. So I did and it was fantastic all the food I had was great and that the decor was interesting so you had something to look at while you waited for you meal.

Their chocolate cake milkshake was fantastic and there were rest of the meal I had was nothing to sneeze at either. I had their Italian beef with mixed Peppers dipped, also one of their sausages with grilled onions and mustard on a sesame seed bun. the food was fantastic. 10 minutes to closing time and there are six to eight cars in the Drive-Thru and people still walking in to grab a bite to eat. that should give you an idea of how good this is!
