Poochie’s is definitely one of the best spots to get Chicago-style hot dogs and is, of course, right next to Portillo’s. I decided to go in here after a craving for some good Chicago-style hot dogs. I was about to go to Portillo’s but ended up here for some reason, but I definitely did not regret going here. Poochie’s has the same cozy and nice interior as Portillo’s. It is always a good time coming here, not only because of the food alone, but also because of the cozy ambiance and the great customer service that the restaurant has. Even if I go alone to the restaurant, it does not feel like it because the staff are very friendly, as are the other customers inside. I felt very satisfied and happy after eating the Chicago-style hot dog. Without further explanation, it is just so good that I could eat it alone for a lifetime. I also liked that the restaurant had hand-cut fries. It is crispy, cooked well, kind of golden and with enough seasoning salt to taste perfect.

I really wanted to try something new. However I was expecting something more delicious. I ordered a vegan hamburger but the whole meat inside was burned like carbon?I couldn't believe it. I didn't like it.
We love Poochie's! This was our first time eating inside. Just good dogs and fries and mozzarella sticks and malted milkshakes.We've been a dozen times and will go a dozen more.
I remember back in the day when Poochie's were at their old spot down the street. Still great food though and friendly service. My last name is pronounced Poochie so maybe I'm biased but I love this place. :)
I've been eating at poochies for almost 25years.Quality has always been good. It's nothing fancy but if u want a good burger, fries or hotdogs. Poochies is legit
It's amazing. A classic must for anyone visiting the Chicagoland area. A very clean environment too unlike a lot of other hot dog places around here. Poochie's is the cleanest and most authentic. The people working here know what they are doing and do it well. Poochie's is the real deal.

Great hot dog place. Char salami is nice, but I'm a fan of their normal char dog. Onion rings are awesome and usually dropped fresh when you order.
