Literally horrible. Penn station is a staple back home in Michigan for me, so I drove 45 minutes from the city to get this. My “toasted” wasn’t toasted at all, there was no Mayo or honey mustard on my sandwich. Fries were so incredibly underdone and had no salt. Good thing I drove 45 minutes and spent $20 on an absolutely horrible meal.Do not go here. Especially if you have good prior experiences with PS.

I saw some waste of space yelling at the two employees a few days ago after they were working hard to obviously fill a bunch of orders they had just gotten after some kind of problem. They stayed super kind, apologized, and even gave him a larger size of fries for free. The food was great and the service too as always.

I've been missing this place so much and one week ago marked the first time in maybe 3 years I've had a PS sub since the only 2 locations (Grayslake and Gurnee) in Lake County closed around that time. The 33 mile haul south was well worth the drive from my house in Beach Park but I just happened to be in the area so I knew I had to stop in for lunch.Excellent quality & delicious subs accompanied by awesome fresh cut fries and bolstered by top notch customer service. Venue is kept clean/sanitized as well.Among sub sandwich competitors, for me Penn Station is tops over Subway, Firehouse, Jersey Mike's, Cousins, Quiznos, Potbelly and Jimmy John's.These subs are too good to pass up and if you've never eaten here before then what are you waiting for?

My friends and other relatives told me that this spot is actually nice and has a delicious cheese steak, and I was very curious after learning about it, so I immediately visited the store after having some spare time. I expected that the place would be packed because I went there during lunch time, but it was not, and there were actually only a few people inside. The place was clean, and the atmosphere and vibe were nice, and definitely just something cozy and casual. The service is great, slightly fast and accommodating. I just ordered a cheese steak, which is the reason why I went to the spot and the one I wanted to try so badly, and I also ordered some fries just because I wanted to, so I would not eat the cheese steak alone. After having a bite, I thought that my family and friends were just exaggerating or something, because the cheese steak definitely does not have anything special about it. It was good, yeah, but it was the end of it. If I had to share something that is great, then it would definitely be the fries, because their fries are so fresh, they are crispy and well-seasoned.

It's 7:35pm and they close at 8pm but they closed their doors early

Stopped by on my way home to grab a sandwich here. It was 7:25pm when I walked in and it is posted that they close at 8:00pm. However the cashier told me they “had to close 30 minutes early today” and didn’t give a reason as to why. Then proceeded to hurry myself and the other customers that were in there out of the store and quickly close/lock the doors behind us and shut off all of the lights by 7:31pm. Terrible service by employees who must’ve just decided they want to leave early. Went out of my way to stop here from my normal route home just to waste time and gas.

Here’s what you need to know: love this Penn Station. Gets busy during the day but Orion, Amanda, and Drew were just so incredible running the line, register, and just providing really good customer service - engaging and welcoming. Just so impressed and made us feel very valued. Great job!We ended up ordering quite a bit of food for a couple of us - 4 different sandwiches, fries, lemonades, cheese breads, and everything was on point. Out customization requests were perfectly executed, sandwiches were made really well and served hot and were super delicious.Fries were hot and crispy (amazing hand cut) and the lemonade fresh and tart. lol in all a great experience. Thanks for the team for sandwich makers for a great meal.

I only got a picture of my meal which was the Pecan Pumpkin Spice Pancakes and they were delicious!! No need for syrup unless you have a big sweet tooth (AKA me) but I initially had tried it without syrup and was satisfied as well.I really wish I was from this area, because I would have LOVED to try other items on Penn Station East Coast Subs menu :) maybe, next time I'm in town!

I love this place. I finally found a decent sub in this city. They bake their own bread here and it is perfect. The fries are to die for and are the perfect level of crispy and tasty. My go to is the cold Italian sub and you can't go wrong ordering the same. I cannot recommend this place enough for anyone looking to grab a sandwich that's put of this world.

Very good food.
