While I was waiting in line to order, an employee of Indian or Pakistani decent mid 30s (I didn’t get a name) started sweeping towards my feet on June 23, 2022 at 20:22. She then stopped and said “get out of the way or you will get dirty” Really awkward situation. She proceeded to handle the food and touched plates without washing her hands.
Pretty disappointed. I paid for DoorDash and although I understand the two are separate, I paid for a salad where most of the chicken was uncooked as well very soft and some rubbery. The fact that they had this sent out was not okay! I love Panera but this seems to happen a lot with their chicken and I was told there was nothing that can be done through DoorDash. Please Please check your chicken because not only was money wasted but I couldn’t even eat it not to mention the strawberries were spoiled. I am part of a family that have two food critics who also had their own cooking shows and we know quality. This is disappointing.
Haven’t been to a Panera bread in a while and was pleasantly surprised. The staff was friendly but was not very knowledgeable about the menu items. Our order was not made correctly but food was good regardless.
A god send in deeply uninspiring Skokie! Had a light meal & breakfasts here. Decent quality fresh food, good service, clean.
Panera on its own is friendly to certain types of people, namely working class professionals and young women. It's got a good atmosphere and alright food.But honestly, overall the quality for the price is not worth it unless you are in a bind or don't really have many other choices. The appeal comes mostly from the brand and not the actual food being put to plate in my honest opinion. Staff usually could care less most of the time upon multiple visits.
The girl working at the cashier, Elizabeth, was so helpful. We were going to order some bagels and she showed us that it was cheaper to buy them as a half dozen than individually. I thought it was so thoughtful of her to let us know. She was definitely the coolest. Thanks Elizabeth! And of course, Panera is always delicious and very clean. The location in Skokie is my favorite!
Friendly staff and freshly made food. This is one of the cleanest locations I have ever been too. Come here during my break for shopping on a Saturday noon and still a lot of places to sit and eat. Good job to management to this clean spotless and fun staff.
They have very good tasting and healthy food. The portions are a little small, though. The cost is healthy, too. The drive thru lines are long especially around dinner or lunch time. At that point, your best bet is to order online and drive over to the curbside pick-up. They drop it off and about about about 1 to 2 minutes.
