Was at our favorite local brewery (Sketchbook) and was craving gyros. Decided to give Manny's Pizza a try. Spot has changed names a couple of times from what I was told and I have never had any of either of their food until today. Ordered the Gyros Rice Bowl for delivery (pictured here). Never had anything like it, to be honest. Portions and pricing are very much on-point and well-worth it. Would order again and would love to try other Rice Bowl options or any other menu options for that matter. Their Pepperoni Pizza is pretty good also.
The owner was so kind here and made everyone feel welcome! The bathrooms are clean and nice, and there's outdoor patio seating with a great set up. The mac n cheese pizza is incredible... my partner got a slice to share, and I had to get another one after because it was so good!
Yup $3.95 for a slice. Wait your turn when you walk in and see they are making someone else's order. Just wait put your order in and wait in the corner or off to the side its worth it.Best slice if pizza I've had hit the spot
Went to Manny’s for this first time today to get their Rice Bowl. I work close to there and all my coworkers have been raving about this chicken rice bowl with feta in it, and let me tell you it absolutely lives up to the hype. As I am sitting in this office right now eating it I feel like Jesus is here with me. Amazing, will definitely be a returning customer
Our second time here. After lunch today we found ourselves talking about the next time! Pizza last time now burgers and chicken wraps. Extremely good! Tucked back on the S/E corner of Oakton St and Lincoln Ave in downtown Skokie. The hospitality is as top shelf as the food. Oh yeah, they have Merkt's cheddar.... You gotta get yourself some! Nail this place down on your 'shop local' map!!!
I was introduced to this place by my friends and walked out amazed. Not only was the food fresh, home made, and SOOO delicious, the service was top notch. The owner was so kind to me and made me feel at home even though it was my first time. I’ve honestly never been treated this kindly at any other food place I went to. You can just tell the owner loves what he’s doing and cooks everything with love and kindness. It was so great I didn’t even hesitate to hit the tip botton (never happened before either!) Im definitely coming back with my family. Im so happy I was introduced to this place.This is the gyro rice bowl and fries. Soooo good. Fries were fresh, crispy, and you can just tell its home made. The gyro bowl was made with their house dressing and its sooo creamy. Pairs very well with the crispy yet juicy gyro and the veggies. LOVE IT!
It took us way too long to try this delicious pizza from Manny's and we won't make the mistake again. We are already planning on ordering next week. The cheese pizza was absolutely delicious! Our picky 9 year old who never finishes one slice, ate three! And the 3 vegetable pizza was so very tasty! Everyone in our group raved about their meal.
Finally Skokie has another pizza spot that's not a chain or the other place *cough*. Slices are priced well and very filling.
Big disappointment! Was looking forward to having fresh cut fries, and a gyros.... only to find out that the gyros meat was not even on a spit, and the fries were frozen (tasted like freezer burn), not fresh cut, but looked ike they were. Since I was hungry I ordered a burger instead of the gyros, and even the meat was a frozen patty. I can't even give a star.
