Great bakery in downtown Skokie for tasty treats and La Colombe cold brew and draft latte. Thursday evening Ice Cream night offers a different kind of treat throughout the summer. Definitely recommend this place for a brownie, cookie, coffee, quiche, etc...
While running errands in Skokie we stopped by this cute little bakery spot to tryout their baked goods….Pistachio Muffin: The muffin itself is packed with pistachio and it is kind of dense. Flavor wise it was decent but it had a strong bitter taste to it. It was our first time trying pistachio muffin so we didn’t know if it was supposed to be bitter rather than sweet. 3/5Butter Croissant: The croissant was very delicious ?…buttery, flaky, and a bit crispy on the outside. 5/5The Bakery isn’t very spacious but it was clean and cozy. And the costumer service was very friendly! Definitely coming back to try some of their other baked good.
My husband brought me the most delicious pastry today. So fresh, very tasty. Perfect with their coffee.
Earl gray latte tasted like watered down tea with little bit of milk foam. I wouldn’t come back here for the coffees until they hire skilled barista. There are better places in downtown Skokie such as complimentary and pressed where they serve great coffees
For LaColumbe brew. Enjoyed a couple of pastries. A great alternative over commercialized bakeries. I wish this could be Michelin Bib Gourmand. Must pace myself, oh the delicious calories!
The only thing I regret is not buying more croissants! They are perfectly flakey but so soft with my perfect amount of fluffy chew on the inside.Overall, amazing selection and delicious coffee. I got a large so I would have some left to go with my second round of pastries later in the day.What I like most is their pastries and cookies have a lot of flavor but are not overly sweet- fabulously balanced.Their chocolate crumble cookie also has a special place in my heart, delicate crisp on the outside and densely chewy on the inside. ???

If I could offer more than 5 stars I would!Everything is super tasty and freshly made.The cupcakes are absolutely delicious!The chicken salad sandwich it's amazing!

We stopped by this bakery which has taken the place of another (closed) bakery in this location which had taken the place of ANOTHER bakery which had been in that location for many years, and was special to the community and to us. We hoped that the latest incarnation would have some of the enchantment of the original occupant of the location, but in our first visit, we found that they have delightful savory and sweet offerings but not quite the magic of our memories of years gone by. They should do well, though, and y'all should help them by enjoying the fruits of their labors.
