I was up in the area one evening and craving chicken shawarma. For reference, my go-to is Falafel & Grill in Wicker Park. This place is as good as that.I walked in and placed and order, then drove 25 minutes back into the city. By the time I got home, everything was still fresh and warm. Everything was flavorful and delicious. While the spicy rice and hot sauce had a kick, they were not burn-your-tongue hot.The staff was very friendly. They even gave me a nice sized sample of lentil soup because it was a chilly night.Even though I’m in the city, I plan to make this place a regular haunt. It’s worth the drive!
Their shawarma was one of the best!! Highly recommended.Delicious shawarma wrap!Very clean and organized.Nice and friendly staff.Shared parking spaces.
Great customer service, and testy food ?
Used to love this place. Hovering between 2 and 3 stars cause the food is pretty good. When eating at the restaurant it’s fantastic. Portions are fantastic. Favorite thing to get is the feta steak fries. However when ordering portions suck. Just ordered Uber eats with 4 orders of steak fries and these guys skimped us massively. Maybe it’s because you guys are usually so good that this was underwhelming for me. Just wish there was some more steak/feta on there like there usually is. Also I’d like to note that when ordering in person you can get 2 sauces with feta fries. They don’t give you the option on Uber eats. They charge extra for sauces on the side I find this a bit annoying.
The food so delicious and excellent customer service
Thank you for tour reply. As you mentioned your kitchen is open concept and anyone can see you preparing the food but could you please explain how can 2 dishes be prepared and served in less than 3 minutes? I am not here to blame you as a customer I just expressed my experience and I believe if it is taken care off your restaurant will definitely gain more customers who will visit you frequently.Their chicken kebab is good but just like the last time, the rice in the platter was not served hot. They gave some complimentary lentil soup to try which tasted good. The bowl option is good because you can create your own bowl based on your choice. The mashed potato (one ingredient in the bowl) was not freshly prepared. Their food recipe is good so is their overall ambiance but the food should be prepared fresh and served warm ( specially when people dine in they want to eat the freshly prepared hot food). I hope they will pay attention to this before my next visit.
Trust me...this place is da sh*t!!!There's a local Mediterranean joint down the street. But my home boy said "No No" Go two blocks away.Jarasa Kabob! Dine in and delicious! Whoa! Real good and inexpensive.
It is amazing I like it a lotThe food was amazing and the host was very good. The complementary lentil soup that came out first was hands down the best flavors of lentil soup I tasted so far. If they ask if you want some sauce in between the naan. Say yes. It’s a thin layer of additional pop of flavor. The entree was cooked and seasoned properly as well. Would definitely go again!
Everything has been excellent. Friendly staff. Good for takeout. Shawarma, kabob, even the fries are good.
Such a great experience , i would love to do it again❤️❤️
