Good food! I came with my extended family so in total it was about 18 of us. I was happy, although the service left a little more to be desired. I think the issue was just because of how loud the music inside was. Otherwise, it was nice to eat dinner there.

Just ordered take out and it was amazing! I was worried the quality wouldn’t be there because we weren’t eating in person but the food held up great. We got salmon and baked potato and the sampler platter. Huge portions, tons of sauce options, and everything was super tasty. Definitely hit the spot and will be ordering again soon.
This was the best stack of Pub nachos in years. You wouldn't think there is an art, but there is. The chips are big and crisp enough to hold all the yummy layers. The chili was excellent, cheese plentiful and spread throughout. They loose one start on the sangria. It was just ok and it took ordering it three times to get it. The service was not-enough-servers slow (not their fault) but very friendly.
The food is hit or miss, but I walked in and had new food given to me instantly when I asked. So service is still really good. Sometimes you get those really fluffy chicken fingers, and sometimes you don't.BTW you can usually get 2 rotisseries at marianos for $10Revised. We got village again today. The soup was cold and old. The chicken they used were small pieces, hardly what you used to get from this place. It's upsetting because I boasted about this place to everyone and we as a family have spent thousands there over the years.I think this is my last purchase there.
Horrible service and horrible management. Ordered steak nachos and were brought regular nachos and the server tells us I’ll just bring you a plate of steak and make sure we charge you for the steak nachos. Then proceeds to walk over toward the kitchen area and talks about us to the other servers and manager while my husband is standing right behind him listening to everything he’s saying as he’s having to go up and find him to get silverware and plates. Never got any plates or silverware so my kids ate their chicken fingers off a sticky table. I asked for the manager to come to the table and then we watch them all sit there talking by the kitchen looking over at our table. Save your money and stay away or go to a different location
The place is definitely casual and it is clean. It was busy when we got there, but we were immediately accommodated by their friendly and attentive staff. They have a nice selection on their menu and, of course, a wonderful selection of drinks. A lot of people are saying that their chicken fingers are a must, so we did not forget to order them. The service was okay. It was not fast, which is understandable, and it was okay because it was not slow. All of the food that we ordered had a nice portion. I understand why people love their chicken fingers. They were good. It is tender, they got a nice crisp, and the dip was good too. I must say that the chicken fingers are good, while the other food tastes fine, and it has nothing special, but what’s important is that it tastes good. The prices are fair and reasonable. We also liked the drinks. Overall, we had a good experience. We expected something better based on what we heard about this place, but we still enjoyed it. We liked the drinks, and the food was okay. It is a nice spot. I recommend their drinks and the chicken fingers as well.
The food is everything they say it is. But the chicken fingers are the BEST I've ever had and the sauce oh my goodness you could have it served as a drink!Wonder staff. Our server was great and my bad memory is the only reason I can't remember his name. I want to say Carlos that's a guess. Still met all our needs. 10 ? if it was possible.
The breading on the fish and chicken strips is amazing. Good ribs as well. The bar has that nice neighborhood atmosphere that many bars are lacking in the suburbs. Employees are nice and seem to like working there. Everything I’ve had from here has been good.
Everything that I’ve tried at the Village Tavern has been delicious & the staff is always so nice
Been loving the tavern since my youth, 20 years they still have those tasty Chicken Fingers and overall solid environment. Even had one of my SAA Baseball dinners here way back, love the Tavern for life.
